πΏ Shinaara
Hello, everyone!
I hope everything in your life is going well. π
I made a new fan art β Shinaara, a leaf-mantled stag with big, flowering antlers. I put a calm swordsman beside her (yes, very Zoro-chill energy).
Made with Photoshop + Illustrator and my Veikk tablet.
Shinaara β final piece. Big antlers, big vibes.
Shinaara is gentle but tough. Fast in the wild. After evolution, she becomes a leafy tank. She heals. She blocks. She looks cute doing it. The swordsman? Heβs the kind that sits, eats, and stares into the distance like βwhich way is east again?β Very Zoro. Very mood.
My exact workflow β short & real (so you can copy it)
I wrote this exactly how I did it.
Photoshop β rough pose & top layout
I sketched rough poses and thumbnails. Find the pose. Block the camera. No fuss.
Illustrator β outline & character base colours
Move to Illustrator for clean outlines. Block base colours for characters β leaves, mane, clothes. Clean and smooth.
Photoshop β background base colours Back to Photoshop. Block trees, flowers, rocks, creek. Big colour shapes first.
Detail pass β the hard part (2 days) Two full days of tiny work. Leaf veins, fur, bark, tiny plants, and rock cracks. This is where the art stops being a sketch and starts being a mood.
Lighting, glow & life Add God rays, rim highlights, creek reflections, and glowing motes. Little lights = big life.
Final colour tweak (Camera Raw) Camera Raw filter to glue everything. Make the forest sing.
Little funny
The Zoro? Heβs on snack duty and will protect the snacks. πβοΈ
Thanks for sticking with me until the end!
Let me know what you think of this artwork β feedback, vibes, whatever comes to mind. π
Iβll see you all again in another post. Until then...
