From Sketch to Reality: My Creative Process
Creating a character such as Quilliun Legionary requires effort and a touch of magic. Here's how I implement my ideas:
🎨 Illustrator Character Design:
The journey begins in Adobe Illustrator, where I methodically create every aspect of the character. From armor to expressions, each detail is designed in its own layer. This gives me full versatility when it comes to animation.
Polishing in Photoshop:
The character is then transferred to Adobe Photoshop for further refinement. I enhance textures, add shadows, and emphasize minute features to make the character stand out.
Layer Management in Animation:
To prepare for animation, I carefully arrange all character components into layers. Each element, whether a limb, eye, or sword, is organized into a layer system that simplifies rigging.
🕹 Animating Characters:
Once primed, the artwork is imported into Adobe Character Animator. Using rigging techniques, I map body parts and construct behaviors for realistic movements, with a particular emphasis on the natural walk cycle.
🧵 Adding Realism:
To amp things up, I incorporate dynamic elements such as flowing capes and reactive armor components that react to movement, further engaging the viewer.
🔎 Final adjustments:
Finally, it is time for refining. I tweak the timing and correct any anomalies to achieve a smooth, believable animation.
