Sport keeps us busy visiting court after court. This is the first tournament my daughter has participated in and she is representing the U17 age group.
El deporte nos tiene ocupados visitando canchas tras cancha. Este es el primer torneo que mi hija participa y representa a la categoría U17 de iniciación.
In all the games I have been supporting my daughter, so far 7 games have been played in different parishes in the municipality of Zamora.
En todos los encuentros he estado apoyando a mi hija, hasta el momento se han jugado 7 juegos en diferentes parroquias del municipio Zamora.
Between these matches there has been only one game won. Despite the girls' hard work, they have not managed to win the other games. The last game we attended, we left early in the morning because the place where they had to play was about 40 minutes away from where I live. This game was not in our favour and I thought that everything was lost. In fact the team was sad. The teacher did tell them that we had to wait for the final results.
Entre estos encuentros ha existido solo un juego ganado. A pesar que las muchachas le ponen ganas, no han logrado ganar los otros juegos. El último juego que asistimos, nos fuimos desde tempranas horas ya que dónde le tocaba jugar era un lugar que queda como a 40 minutos de la localidad donde vivo. Este encuentro no fue a favor y pensé que ya se había perdido todo. De hecho el equipo estaba triste. El profesor si les decía, que había que esperar los resultados finales.
Today the games continued, but it wasn't my daughter's turn, but I wanted to support the other girls and I took her to the game. The truth is that when we arrived the teacher gave them the good news that they were through to the quarter finals. There was a lot of excitement among the girls who thought all was lost. They have a commitment to go out to win and to be able to continue advancing in the tournament.
Hoy continuaron los juegos, pero a mí hija no me tocaba, sin embargo quería apoyar a las demás compañeras y la lleve al juego. Lo cierto que al llegar el profesor les dió la buena noticia de haber pasado a los cuartos de final. Había mucha emoción entre las muchachas que pensaban todo estaba perdido. Tienen un compromiso de salir a ganar y poder seguir avanzando en el torneo.

With desire and a lot of practice, I know that they will be able to continue in this first volleyball experience with girls and adolescents who are starting out in this sport.
Con ganas y con mucha práctica se que lograrán seguir en esta primera experiencia en voleibol con niñas y adolescentes que se están iniciando en este deporte.
