Many people have clothing made or tailored that they really like but that is not easy to find in stores. That is why they have the garment made in their preferred color and the desired style. Thanks to many seamstresses and tailors, it is possible to satisfy customers. In this case, I made this chef's dress for a girl. The lady wanted this style because she told me she saw it online and wanted one for her daughter that was exactly the same. So she asked me to make it according to her daughter's measurements.
Muchas personas mandan hacer o confeccionar alguna prenda de vestir que les guste mucho, pero que no son fáciles de conseguir en las tiendas. Por eso mandan hacer la prenda de vestir del color de su preferencia y el modelo deseado. Gracias a muchas costureras y costureros, es posible complacer a los clientes. En este caso hice este vestido de chef para niña. La señora quiso este modelo ya que me dijo que lo vio por internet y quería uno para su hija pero igualito. Así que me pide el favor de poder hacerlo de acuerdo a las medidas de su hija.
The fabric was purchased in the same design, that is, white with small checks, known as Vichy fabric. This fabric is very nice for making various types of clothing and crafts, and comes in many different colors.
According to the size, in this case size 10 for girls. I make the pattern according to her measurements. Taking into account the shape of the blouse, which is crossover and has buttons on the front.
From this part, I take two from the right side and left side, since it is crossover. And the back part is complete, that is, whole.
Se compró la tela del mismo diseño, es decir la de color blanco y la de cuadrito, que se llama tela de Vichy, esta tela es muy linda para hacer varios modelos de prendas de vestir entre manualidades, y vienen de muchos colores diferentes.
De acuerdo a la talla en este caso talla 10 para niñas. Le hago el patrón de acuerdo a su medida. Tomando en cuenta la forma de la blusa que es cruzada, y lleva botones en esta parte delantera.
De esta parte saco dos del lado derecho y lado izquierdo, ya que va cruzada. Y la parte de la espalda en completa, es decir entera.
On this front part, at the edge where it crosses, I place the red strip that will be on the edge. I do this on both sides, as well as on the lining fabric. I start by joining the shoulder parts. For the collar, I take two parts and a long red strip about 5 cm wide, which I fold in half, and then place it along the entire edge of the collar, that is, between the two parts of the white fabric. Then I sew it, and when I turn this strip over, the neckline with the red edge is visible. When I attach the neckline to the blouse, the edge must be level with the blouse, as the entire edge from the blouse to the neckline with the red strip must be visible.
En esta parte delantera en el borde donde se cruza le coloco la tira de color rojo que va quedar en la orilla. Esto lo hago en ambas partes igualmente que la tela de forro. Comienzo uniendo las parte de los hombros. Y para el cuello saco dos partes y una tira larga de color rojo de unos 5cm de ancho la cual doblo a la mitad, y luego la coloco en todo el borde del cuello, es decir entre las dos partes de la tela blanca. Luego le paso costura, y al voltear esta tira se ve el cuello con el borde de color rojo. Cuando coloco el cuello a la blusa la parte del borde tiene que quedar a la altura de la parte de la blusa, ya que se tiene que ver todo el borde desde la blusa hasta el cuello con la tira roja.
Then, using the sleeves, I made a border out of the checked fabric, i.e., the Vichy fabric. I also made some pleats on the edge that goes along the shoulder.
Once the blouse was ready, I proceeded to mark the buttonholes and attach the buttons.
Luego con las mangas le hice un borde de la tela de cuadrito, es decir la tela de Vichy. También le hice unos plises en el borde que va junto al hombro.
Al tener la blusa lista procedo a marcar los ojales y colocar los botones.
For the skirt, I cut a rectangle of the desired length and wider at the waist, since when I attach it to the blouse, I add elastic for a better fit. At the hem, I added a strip of gingham fabric, just like the model. Finally, I made a small white apron with the edge of the checkered fabric and a long red strip that goes over the waist.
Con la falda, corté todo un rectángulo del largo deseado y mas ancha en la parte de la cintura, ya que al unirla con la blusa, le coloco una elástica para su mejor ajuste. En la parte del ruedo le coloco una tira de la tela vichy, igual al modelo. Por ultimo le hago un pequeño delantal de color blanco, con el borde de la tela de cuadrito, y una tira de color rojo larga que es la va sobre la parte de la cintura.
