Happy day to all of you, hoping you are doing well. Happy beginning of the week with many blessings. For today's presentation I show you how I made a pleated skirt, made in gabardine fabric, which has a design in the hip part, where it has some ornamental buttons. To make this youth skirt size “S”, and that will be short, above the knee, and with enough pleats to make it look very flirtatious. This gabardine fabric is used a lot in school uniforms, especially for skirts and pants because they are very comfortable and its colors are maintained much longer, that is, it does not fade very quickly. I make this short skirt but in black color with a wide border at the waist and it is crossed, these models of designs that have buttons as ornaments are very nice, because we can place them where they can be better and varying the size of the buttons. So with simple steps I explain the procedure of making this skirt.
Feliz día tengan todos ustedes, esperando se encuentren muy bien. Feliz inicio de semana con muchas bendiciones. Para la presentación de hoy les muestro como hice una falda de plises, hecha en tela de gabardina, la cual tiene un diseño en la parte de la cadera, donde tiene unos botones de adorno. Para realizar esta falda juvenil talla “S”, y que quedara corta, mas arriba de la rodilla, y con bastantes plises para que se vea muy coqueta. Esta tela de gabardina, la usan mucho en los uniformes escolares, sobre todo para falda y pantalones ya que son muy cómodos además sus colores, se mantiene mucho más tiempo, es decir no se decoloriza muy rápido. Realizo esta falda corta pero de color negro con borde ancho en la cintura y es cruzada, estos modelos de diseños que llevan botones de adornos son muy lindos, ya que podemos colocarlos donde mejor puedan quedar y variando del tamaño de los botones. Así que con sencillos pasos les explico el procedimiento de la confección de esta falda.
To be able to cut each part first I take the length of the skirt, this measures 42 cm long; for the width that must be wide enough for each pleats, in my case I only cut the length leaving all the width of the fabric and to be able to make the necessary pleats, taking the width only of the waist, which would be the base guide.
Para poder cortar cada parte primero tomo el largo de la falda, esta mide 42 cm de largo; por el ancho que debe ser bien ancha para cada plises, en mi caso sólo corté el largo dejando todo el ancho de la tela y poder hacer los plises necesario, tomando el ancho únicamente de la cintura, que sería la guía base.
Having the folds marked and which I had to baste them, that is to say, sew them by hand so that they can be well marked and iron to adjust each fold so that they are well marked.
Teniendo los plises marcados y el cual tuve que bastearlos, es decir coserlo a mano para que puedan quedar bien y planchar para ajustar cada pliego que quede bien marcados.
Having the pleated part ready, I proceed with the wide waistband, taking out two pieces for the front and two pieces for the back. The front part has a cut, once sewn to the skirt, I place the zipper on the back, adding a button on the inside so that the zipper will not open.
Teniendo la parte plisada lista, procedo con la pretina ancha, sacando dos p artes del frente y dos partes para la parte trasera. La parte del frente lleva un corte, una vez cosiendo a la falda, coloco el cierre en la parte trasera, adicional un botón por dentro para que no se le vaya abrir el cierre.
After I have the skirt ready with its pleats, I make the hem. Then I place the buttons.
Luego de tener la falda ya lista con sus plises, le hago el ruedo. Luego coloco los botones.
Once the skirt was finished, it was ready to wear, either for a party or a meeting, the black color dresses a lot combined with a nice blouse.
Ya terminada la falda así quedó lista para usarla, bien sea para una fiesta o reunión, el color negro viste mucho combinada con bonita blusa.
