How nice to go through this community of many ideas and projects, I congratulate all those who every day with great effort make their manual works to demonstrate. I want to show you how I made this Roman costume for a school event, because nowadays with the project closings of each grade, they make different presentations, in order to encourage everyone, and also let them know about many stories of the past, from different regions. And this time they asked me to please make this costume for a child presented his Roman costume, which includes a skirt and blouse with decorations alluding to the theme. For the elaboration is like making a flannel with its sleeves, and a simple skirt that has elastic at the waist, so with simple steps I will show you the procedure.

Que agradable pasar por esta comunidad de muchas ideas y proyectos, felicito a todos los que cada día con mucho esfuerzo realizan sus trabajos manuales para demostrar. Quiero mostrarles como hice este traje romano para un evento de la escuela, ya que hoy en día con los cierres de proyectos de cada grado, hacen presentaciones distintas, con el fin de incentivar a todos, y darles a conocer también de muchas historias del pasado, de diferentes regiones. Y en esta oportunidad me pidieron que por favor hiciera este traje para un niño presentado su traje de romano, el cual comprende una falda y blusa con decoraciones alusivas al tema. Para la elaboración es como hacer una franela con sus mangas, y una falda sencilla que lleva elástica en la cintura, así que con pasos sencillos les mostraré el procedimiento.

Cut the top part that will be the blouse or shirt taking out the front part with the shape of the square neck, at the same time the same for the back part but in two parts, since it has buttons for better comfort when putting it on.

Corte la parte de arriba que será la blusa o camisa sacando la parte del frente con la forma del cuello cuadrado, al mismo tiempo lo mismo para la parte de la espalda pero en dos partes, ya que lleva botones para mejor comodidad al colocárselo.

I join the part of the shoulders, and I make the border where the buttons and buttonholes go. I place the sleeves in another color, in this case red, and for the neck I place a gray border.

Uno la parte de los hombros, y le hago el borde en donde van los botones y ojales. Coloco las mangas de otro color en este caso de color rojo, y para el cuello le coloco un borde de color gris.

At the waist I cut several bangs about 12cm long by 8cm wide with curved edges, and on each one I sew its gold colored braid. And also three others but a little bit longer. Then I pin them on the blouse part and sew them, passing the over stitching on each one.

En la parte de la cintura corté varios flecos como de 12cm de largo por 8cm de ancho con los bordes curvos, y en cada uno le coso su trencilla de color dorado. Y también tres pero un poco más largas. Luego las prenso en la parte de la blusa y las cosos, pasando la sobrecostura en cada uno.

I made the cape part in red fabric. I put a few pieces of magic zipper on the neck of the cape, and also on the shoulder part of the blouse, so she can put it on and it stays in place, it is easy to take off and put on.

Le hice la parte de la capa en tela de color rojo. Le coloque unos retazos de cierre mágico en el cuelo de la capa, y también en la parte de los hombros de la blusa, para que pueda ponérsela y asó se mantiene en su lugar, es fácil de quitar y poner.

For the skirt, I cut a rectangle of the desired width and length to reach the knee. I sew a silver colored strip on the edge. This skirt has elastic at the waist for the child's comfort.

Para la falda corté un rectangulo del ancho y largo deseado, que le llegara a la altura de la rodilla. Le coso una tira de color plateada en el borde. Esta falda lleva elástica en la cintura para mejor comodidad del niño.

The whole costume is ready, although it has a lot of work because you have to cut each part, and sew, make the cape, but with a lot of patience you can do it.

>Ya listo todo el traje, aunque tiene mucho trabajo porque hay que cortar cada parte, e ir cosiendo, hacer la capa, pero con mucha paciencia se puede lograr hacerlo.

The boy was very happy because he was able to make his presentation with his costume, and also wore other accessories, such as a sword and helmet of the time.

>El niño muy feliz porque pudo hacer su presentación con su traje, y aparte también llevó otros accesorios, como espada y casco de la época.
