Happy and blessed day to all of you. I am grateful to be able to make this post today, Monday, where I will show you how I made this beautiful bright royal blue swimsuit. A friend asked me to make her a two-piece swimsuit, with a top and bottom, but at the same time connected by a ring on each side of the waist or side. She brought me a swimsuit she already had as a reference, but it was a one-piece. So, based on that measurement, I was able to cut out the pieces from this other one to make it fit her well, while also leaving the straps a little long so I could connect them.
Feliz y bendecido día tengan todos ustedes. Agradecida de hoy lunes poder hacer esta publicación, donde les mostraré como hice este bello traje de baño en color azul rey brillante. Una amiga me pide que por favor le haga un traje de baño que tenga dos partes, la de arriba y la de abajo, pero que al mismo tiempo vayan unidas por un aro a cada lado de la cintura o costado. Ella me trajo como medida un traje de baño que tenia, pero entero. Así que de acuerdo a esta medida, pude sacar las partes de este otro para que le quedara bien, y al mismo tiempo con las tiras un poquito largas y poder unirlas.
I remove the top part, taking into account the size of the bust and armhole, leaving the long straps that reach the back. For the back part, I remove another strip that holds it securely and which will be attached to the sides for a better fit. I put a 1cm wide elastic band on the entire front part, attaching it to the armhole, neckline, and the part below the bust. I also put the elastic band on the other strip that goes on the back, then sew it to the sides.
I left a slightly thinner strip under the bust so that I could attach the underwire.
Saco la parte de arriba, tomando en cuenta el tamaño del busto y sisa, dejando la parte de los tirantes largos que lleguen a la espalda. Para la parte de la espalda saqué otra tira que le sujete bien y la cual va ir unida a la parte a los lados para que tenga mejor ajuste. Toda esta parte delantera le coloque una elástica de 1cm de ancho, pegando del lado de la sisa, cuello y la parte debajo del busto. Así como también la otra tira que va en la espalda colocando la elástica, luego la coso a la parte de los lados.
La parte que está debajo del busto le dejé una tira que quedara un poco mas finita, para poder colocar el aro.
Then the bottom part, i.e., the panty, I cut to the same size as the measurement, and I also add elastic to the waistband and crotch. Where the waistband ends, both at the front and back, I leave the strip a little longer, as these will also go around the hoop on each side.
Luego la parte debajo es decir el panty, lo corto del mismo tamaño de la medida, también le coloco la elástica en la cintura, y entrepiernas. Donde termina la cintura, tanto en la parte del frente y trasero, igual dejo un poco más larga la tira, ya que estas irán también el aro de cada lado.
Once everything is ready, I sew each strip onto the rings so that you can see the finish and design. It's worth noting that I lined the swimsuit with fabric, in this case black, as that was what she brought with her.
Al tener todo listo, voy cosiendo cada tira en los aros, para que se pueda apreciar su terminación y modelo. Cabe destacar que la parte del traje de baño le puse su tela de forro, en este caso fue de color negro, ya que era la que ella trajo.
Although the photo of the materials shows lace fabric, she wanted me to use it. But honestly, I didn't think it was necessary for the swimsuit design. Plus, it would have changed the whole design. So I used the lace fabric to make a top. I'm glad I got a good result with this swimsuit design. She really liked it, and the color looked great on her.
Aunque en la foto de los materiales está una tela de blonda, ella quería que se la pusiera. Pero la verdad es que para el modelo de traje de baño no lo vi necesario. Además le iba a cambiar todo el diseño. Así que con la tela de blonda le hice un top. Me alegra haber tenido un buen resultado en este diseño de traje de baño, a ella le gustó mucho y el color le quedó muy bien.
