The fear of not being able to provide my daughters with a safe home in Venezuela / | Weekend-engagement #143

As a mother in Venezuela, I have faced many challenges in my struggle to provide a better future for my daughters. In this post, I would like to share some of my concerns about their future and how I have been considering the possibility of emigrating to another country to provide them with a more secure and prosperous future. I want to thank @galenkp for giving us this opportunity to share our stories and concerns. It is important to have a space where we can express our concerns and hopes.

I have two daughters, ages 14 and 3, and I am constantly worried about the future that awaits them. In a country with an unstable economy and a lack of opportunities, I am concerned that I may not be able to provide them with the best opportunities to thrive. I worry that they may not be able to receive a quality education, have a comfortable and secure home, and that their dreams and aspirations may be limited by their circumstances.

Despite working hard tirelessly, it seems like there is always a bigger mountain to climb. And as a mother, I feel responsible for ensuring that my daughters have a bright and opportunity-filled future. That is why I have been seriously considering emigrating to Curitiba, Brazil.

I know that immigrating is not easy and that there are risks and challenges associated with relocation. But I also believe that this could be the best decision for my daughters' future. Brazil has a more stable economy and offers more opportunities for growth and progress. While it is a big decision, I hope that in the end it will be the best for my daughters.

Another one of my biggest concerns is that, even if my daughters are able to graduate from university, there may not be job options available to them in their field of study. The job market in Venezuela is uncertain and, in many cases, university graduates struggle to find employment in their areas of specialization. I worry that all the effort and dedication that my daughters put into their studies will not be rewarded with adequate job opportunities.

In addition to worrying about my daughters' economic future, I am also concerned about what would happen if I were to fall ill and could not work to provide for my family. While it is an undesirable scenario, it is a possibility that I must consider. I worry that, in the event of an emergency, I may not have the necessary resources to provide for their needs to survive. As a mother, I want to ensure that my daughters are always cared for and protected, but in such a situation, I am not sure if I would be able to do so.

Although we face challenges in Venezuela, I am confident that there are many people around the world who are in a similar situation. Together, we can work to create a more just and equitable world for all.
