I used to have a series of posts called Granny knits for Baby Arthur and the last one I wrote was over 4 years ago! Baby Arthur is my niece @kathrynkw's son and back then he was just a few months old. Now he's nearly five and is a beautiful happy cheeky toddler, absolutely adorable to be around with. His granny is my sister. Have I confused you with all the relationships yet 😄? If you read my last post you will know I have a big family. The other day I was at my sister's place and saw she had been busy knitting a lot of dolls. I thought it would be perfect to share her collection here to help grow Arthur's education fund. 50% of the rewards will go to his mother @kathrynkw.
My favourite dolls is this pair of sailor boy and girl. The colour of their outfit is very nautical, perfect for the theme.
My family were all in the catering business, there's always going to be at least one chef around.
This is Noddy, a UK cartoon character, maybe you won't know about him if you're not from the UK.
But I'm sure you be will recognise this one. Everyone knows him! If you don't know, I'll let you know at the end of the post.
How about this one? Can you recognise him? He has many many fans around the world. When Arthur saw me taking photos he asked me what I was doing. So I asked him to hold this doll for me. Kids likes to be involved in everything.
This doll is also very famous in England, and around the world. Can you guess who he is? Let me give you a clue, he comes from Peru.
This is Hello Kitty, but you have to use a little imagination.
There are other more generic ones. Like this clown
Bunnies holding an easter egg, also modelled by Arthur
A winter duckie
And a whole Super Family, complete with the red cape and the S logo on the chest. Do you notice there's an opening at the base? That's to insert a mini easter egg or kinder toy egg inside so it can stand up. These make great gifts for kids that's why my sister has been knitting a lot of them. She gives them away to children.
Did you guess who those three dolls above were? The first one was Mario from Super Mario (of course you knew that!!), next was Harry Potter, and finally Paddington bear. Did you know them all? And out of all these knitted dolls above, which was your favourite? Let me know how n the comments below.
Before I go, I want to remind everyone of my Hive PPP Index. I'm looking for people to tell me the price of a basket of goods in your country and it would be great if you can help. Inputs will close tomorrow 9th August, and it would be great to see the prices from your country. You can find more information here. Thanks https://peakd.com/hive-180505/@livinguktaiwan/chit-chat-friday--hive-ppp-index-edition-2
I'm writing this as a Chit Chat Friday series of post with the objective of driving up engagement and communication on Hive. The content will evolve around daily life things making it easy for everyone to take part to engage with one another. Hopefully it will interest you to make genuine engagement instead of two word spams like "Nice photos" "Very beautiful" or calling bots. I will be muting those comments.
