It's been a rather quiet weekend with not much happening other than lazing around at home.
We have a heatwave in UK this weekend and that's a big deal for us. Us Brits are very obsessed with talking about the weather, and we rarely get a heatwave. Lots of people around the country was very excited. I got our fan out, even though we didn't really need it, but it feels more summer if I turn it on. Who knows, this may the only occasion I get to see my fan before it goes back to it's box again. It turns out I had my fan on two nights in a row, it was so hot.
Then I noticed I got a couple of baby tomatoes and courgettes /zucchini. I just love summer!
This morning I returned some books to the library and picked up a couple more that looked interesting. One is about writing, I figured it might help me with writing my blogs. And the other is tips on how to be more sustainable with fashion. Both books are quick reads, perfect for people like me who don't read much.
What else did I do this weekend? Oh! I binge watched Outrageous, a drama about the Mitford sisters in England. Imagine 6 aristocratic born sisters from the 1930s, scandals and controversies, and some of them becoming a communist, a fascist, a socialist. They make Kardashian life look so boring. Here's the official trailer for it. I've heard of the Mitford sisters before, but didn't know much about them. Outrageous gives a good insight to them. It was an ok but you're not going to miss much if you don't watch it. https://youtu.be/JHQAYdLC0_w?si=wNmrTxogC6jNNwb6
You may ask, whats the point of telling me about your boring weekend LUT. You don't normally write crap like this....
The real reason is because I need to write a post about my 8th Hiversary and I can't just make a two sentence post about it.😁
To treat myself, I decided to buy a new pair of trainers. The summer sales have started, perfect timing to do it. I've been meaning to get some for a while, and wanted something different, or rather a different brand. I found these called Gola. They're a British brand that's been around since 1905 and their name is an anagram of the world goal. Just like how hold has become hodl in the crypto world. I love their retro style.
I could have used some HBD to buy this to make it more meaningful, but I couldn't be bothered to withdraw the funds. Now with the low Hive price, it's much better time to grow my stake quicker.
Have a great weekend!!
