Hi guys! Long time no see ;)
Oh man, what a roller coaster these past weeks. I guess most of you saw that @pinmapple quit and handed over the project to our spontaneous @worldmappin. Since then we have been pretty occupied with transferring everything and going on with the project.
So today I packed my back and traveled to the north of Germany to meet @detlev, @louis88, @rivalzzz, and some of the other heroes, who were so brave to save this project and go on along with me.
After 6 hrs train ride, @louis88 and @rivalzzz picked me up at Aachen Central Station. From there we went to check out tomorrow's location - the Digital Church at DigitalHub to get a first feeling of the Meetup.
At 16:30 together with @detlev we went to the first meetup point: The border triangle. We´ve put up the Hive banner and searched for a table.
Of course this was the perfect spot to have some beers together :). Also @blkchn joined in with us.
The borders of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet at the border triangle. So basically you can jump from one country into another within seconds. - Or be in all of them at the same time :D
At the same time, the tri-border point is the highest mountain on the Dutch mainland at 323 meters above sea level. Of course, as Bavarian girl, I had to climb that mountain :D
From there we went further to a second restaurant with a view towards Germany and had a first little get-together with chat, snacks and beers :)
It feels great to be back together with "the gang". I am looking forward to seeing all the others tomorrow and discussing the current status and next steps of @worldmappin within the community!
But more about the status of @worldmappin project and what happened since the takeover tomorrow at Hive Meetup Aachen. - Stay tuned ;) I keep you updated.
