STEPPING BEYOND MY COMFORT ZONE •//• LOH #257

I am never the type to readily go out of my comfort zone. I mean,  I love my comfort a lot. If a something works well for me, I don’t try to look for a new way.  I have spent years constantly being amazed by how people explore different aspects of their lives and how they try new approaches.

Lately, however, I have found myself willing to step out my comfort zone and explore new opportunities. While I may not yet have all the strength, I know I now have the willingness.  One of this steps has been breaking a bit of my introverted shell.  I have challenged myself to go any school programs or events, as well as activities outside school. It has been both challenging and exactly. but I believe it will become even more fun with time.

I’ve also substantially influenced by people online. Watching and seeing the actual beauty of diversity and exploration  has made me become more aware of how motionless I have been.  For the past few years,  I’ve admired travelling, and the chance to experience different cultures, foods, and languages.

If I were given a scholarship to study something new, my first thought might be to chose therapy.  However, since I am already studying nursing, and both therapy and nursing share some similar grounds, I would want to try something wholly different.

Right now, I would choose to study piloting and earn a degree in aviation. Of course, if I am asked this same question five years from now, my answer might change.

Beyond the obvious reasons of exploration, I would choose piloting because it offers both  good pay and great prestige. Being pilot is a job that comes with a lot of trust, responsibility, and honour.  It requires focus, discipline, skill, decision-making, and continuous learning, these qualities are valuable in life and not only in aviation.

Piloting itself fascinates me because it embodies the combination of science, adventure and human connection. The technology behind aviation and aerospace in general remains extraordinary to me and learning about it would be a privilege. I am a lover of the sky, and I believe pilots truly have the best view of them.

I am strongly aware that piloting is a challenging career. Though I am not naturally someone who seeks challenges, I do love to be among the best in whatever I pursue. That is why, presently, what comes to mind if given the opportunity to study something new through scholarship, is piloting.
