Hello everyone! Hello my dear Hivers of @Hiveph community! It’s me again “LJ”, and today I will share with you an unforgettable experience I had last Summer just this year. Something that started with excitement and fun but ended with a surprising twist!

Last summer was definitely one for the books. It all started with just a simple plan my husband and I just created. We decided to go for a swim at the beach near our place which was the “Dancalan Beach”.

Since it was just a quick and random trip, we did not prepare much. Just our swimwear, towels, mini foldable table and chairs, and a few snacks. We invited our son to come along, but he had other plans for that day. So, it ended up being just me and my husband on this little beach escape.

The moment we arrived, I felt so relaxed. The salty breeze, the sound of the waves, and the warm sand under my feet made everything feel lighter. My husband and I laughed like kids as we swam and splashed around. It felt refreshing not just for the body but also for the soul. Those small moments together reminded me how important it is to take breaks and just enjoy life.

But the next day, I woke up to an unpleasant surprise! I noticed red, itchy spots on my arms and legs. At first, I thought they were just insect bites, but they quickly spread and the itchiness was so intense that it became hard to ignore.

I told my husband about the rash, and right away he insisted that I see a dermatologist in the city. He even teased me, saying, “If it were me, I’d just endure it, but for you, I don’t want you to suffer.” Hearing that made me smile despite the discomfort.

Since my husband had already gone back to work in Naga City, I went to the dermatologist with my son instead. He was my little companion for the day. It was comforting to have him by my side. He kept asking me if I was okay and even made me laugh while we waited for my name to be called.

The dermatologist confirmed that it was Seabather’s Eruption, commonly called “Seabathers”. The derma explained that it is a skin rash that happens after swimming in the sea when tiny jellyfish larvae or sea anemone larvae get trapped in your skin and swimsuit. They release toxins that cause red, itchy bumps on the skin.

She gave me medicine and ointment lotion to help with the rash and told me to avoid it next time. I felt so relieved after that visit because at least I finally understood what was happening to my skin.

After the check-up, my son and I bumped into my aunt and youngest brother at the SM Legazpi. Since it had been a while since we last saw each other, we decided to have lunch together at Graceland.

It turned into such a happy little gathering. Lots of laughter and catching up stories on each other’s lives. Even though my rashes were still itchy, I forgot about them for a while because I was surrounded by my family and good vibes.

Looking back, that summer experience taught me a lot. Sometimes, even simple plans lead to unexpected twists, but they also open the door to memorable and unforgettable moments. This story of mine served as a simple reminder that even imperfect days can still turn into beautiful memories.

And that’s it for today’s blog, I hope you guys like it! I wish to see you on my next one! Have a pleasant day ahead to all of us.
