Hello my dear Hivers! Hello wonderful people of @Bayanihive Community! It’s me again “LJ”… Today i will share to you about a special event of one my closest friend in college.
Her name is Corinne, and we have been friends since 2009. We first met when we both transferred to the College of Education in Bicol University. And since we were both transferees, we got along quickly and became friends along with the other transferees in the section we belonged to. Now, my friend is already a teacher in a public school in their town. And I am happy for her that finally, her dream of becoming a teacher had finally come true.
This special event that I am about to share to you is the Christening and First birthday of her son. Her son’s name is “Achileous Coan”, what a unique and beautiful name she chose for her son. My friend sent me an invitation for her son’s christening and first birthday a few days before the event. And I happily responded to her that I will be going together with my husband. My son who is her godson cannot join us because his busy with his school activities. And she said that is okay.
The day finally came, and my husband and I rode a jeepney to their house since she told us to go straight there. Our trip took around 30 minutes and when we got there, the celebration was just about to start. We immediately saw my friend and her husband and they were happy that we made it to the party. They hired a clown to entertain and perform some magic tricks for the children and for the young at heart as well. The guest enjoyed the magic tricks performed by the clown.
My friend invited us to eat already and I got confused about what to pick up and eat first because there were a lot of food prepared and almost everything looks so delicious, especially the lechon and the spaghetti which were my favorite. Of course as usual, my diet always got ruined whenever there is a celebration like this. But never mind, the important thing is I enjoy the food and the party. I will just use my treadmill at home when we get back.
After we ate, I saw a cute baby girl. The baby’s mom agreed and allowed me to carry her. The baby girl even had a cute little ribbon on her head. I told my husband to take a picture of us and he agreed. He also took a selfie of the three of us because he also found the baby girl cute. We went to the clown so the baby girl could be entertained. After that, I returned her to her mom so she could feed on milk.
We spent some time catching up and chatting with my friend. We share some stories and laughter just like the old times. After that, we had a fun picture taking session together with our husbands and of course, little Coan. We make sure to capture this special moment so we will have a wonderful memory of this day to look back on.
Before it got dark, we said our goodbyes and thanked them for inviting us. My friend and I hugged each other, knowing it would be quite a while before we could meet again since we were both busy with our own lives. But still, we keep in touch through chat to catch up on things with each other.
We were all so happy that day! The food, the laughter, the bonding and the special moments made it a truly memorable kind of celebration for everyone.
I hope you enjoy this blog for today! And I wish to see you on my next one… Have a nice day ahead!
