Hello everyone! Hello to this wonderful community! Here I am again, "LJ" to share another story! This time it is about my special bonding moments with my best friend!

Last June 2025, I had the chance to visit my best friend in Sorsogon City. It had been more than a year since we last saw each other, so I was filled with excitement and joy as the day finally arrived.

I message her that I already arrived in the city and we agreed to meet at the food court inside the mall, which was conveniently close to her workplace. Before meeting me, she first picked up her son Jette and then the three of us headed for lunch together. When they arrived, I immediately hug them as I missed them so much!

Being the sweet and thoughtful friend she has always been, she insisted on treating me. We ended up choosing Jolibee, a classic comfort food spot that never fails to bring back a sense of nostalgia. Sitting there and sharing our food with each other, it felt like we were back in our younger days, only this time we had her little boy happily eating with us.

What made the meal even more special was the surprise she had for me. She bought me a Mixue mango drink! She told me I had to try it because it was really delicious! And she was absolutely right, it was refreshing, sweet, and the perfect complement to our meal.

Over lunch, we chatted and laughed. Catching up on life updates that we had only been able to share through messages before. It felt so good to finally have that face-to-face connection again. The simple act of sitting together over a meal reminded me how much I had missed her presence.

When her workday ended, we planned to unwind and extend our bonding time in order to have a little girl's night out. Not too far from her place, we found a cozy tavern bar that had just the right atmosphere for unwinding after a long day.

It was just the two of us this time, a rare treat since life often gets in the way of these simple joys. We ordered margaritas to toast our reunion along with fried chicken skin and a sizzling plate of "sisig" (chopped pork with egg, onions and spices), a favorite "pulutan" (refers to food that's usually served as a snack or appetizer while drinking alcoholic beverages) that perfectly matched the evening vibe.

As the music played softly in the background and the night air carried a mix of excitement and relaxation, we shared more stories, deeper conversations, and bursts of laughter that felt like medicine to our soul.

For a few hours, we were just two best friends enjoying each other's company, free from responsibilities and stress, reliving the carefree energy of our younger years.

That night, I stayed over at her place. Even when we were already lying in bed with the kids, we continued talking and sharing secrets, laughing over memories, and simply enjoying the rare chance to be together again. It felt like the kind of sleepover we used to have back in high school, only this time with many more stories to tell.

The next morning, I got ready to head back to my town. As I packed my things and said goodbye, I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of joy. I realized that the friendship we had was something that distance and time can never break. I went home with a happy heart, grateful for the bond we've kept all these years.
