Hello everyone in the @hiveph community! It’s me again “LJ” and another day, another blog to share. So today, I will share with you another wonderful experience I had with the Fun Run Activity today.
This morning was a little different and a lot more exciting than my usual friday routine. I woke up early, even before my alarm rang because we had an important activity at school. It’s the province-wide simultaneous fun run. All schools across our province participated, and it felt special knowing that both teaching and non-teaching staff were part of something that brought everyone together.
The starting point was in Donsol Comprehensive High School, and the route stretched all the way to the Seawall in Dancalan. By 6 a.m., the atmosphere was already buzzing with energy. My co-workers and I gathered at the starting line, laughing and taking quick photos before the run officially began. As we set off, I could not help but admire how beautiful the morning was.
Running alongside with so many familiar faces was both motivating and heartwarming. There were moments when we slowed down and just walk in order to catch our breath and simply enjoy the view. As we reached the bridge part, I felt the ocean breeze on my face and seeing everyone’s determination reminded me why events like this are worth waking up early for.
By the time we reached the Seawall, I was already sweating, but instead of feeling tired, I felt light and recharged. There’s just something about a good morning workout that lifts your mood for the entire day.
After the run, one of my co-workers kindly invited us over for breakfast at their place. We gladly accepted! It was the perfect way to end the morning’s activity. On the table, there was a simple and warm lugaw and freshly baked bread. The aroma alone made me hungrier than I expected. We sat together, shared stories, and laughed over little things while enjoying our meal. Lugaw on a morning like this felt extra satisfying especially after burning so much energy during the fun run.
Once we were full and content, we thanked our co-worker for the hearty breakfast and hospitality. We stayed for a little while to rest, I even carried the daughter of my co-worker’s sister and play with her. After that, we headed home to freshen up, change clothes, and take a short rest. The soft bed was tempting, but I reminded myself that the day was not over yet. I still had to return to school for our regular work.
As I prepared to go back, I had this realization that, this morning was more than just a fun run, it was a reminder that days like these makes me grateful for my co-workers and my work. Even ordinary routines can feel extraordinary when spent with people who make the effort worthwhile.
