So today I wanted to take a minute to tell you about someone you all should be following and why. I know, I’m bossy... but you’ll thank me later.

Who has a large audience of over 115k subscribers on YouTube.
James is someone who I discovered through @phedizzle nearly a year ago.. and this is the first video of his I saw:

It left quite the impression on me and I featured it in one of my first ever curation posts- Here
I knew James was special from that moment and was set and determined to help him find his audience here on Steem.
I just had to get him on discord 😬
Yeah, this took forever.. months actually (can someone build a messenger plug in for Steem already?!) BUT, finally with help from @rawutah we got him there, and introduced him to dtube and the homesteaders community.
James has something special about him, you can see it in his videos and in his thoughtful comments. He’s energetic, knowledgeable, down to earth and fun.. did I mention he produces top notch content as well? Because he does.. there is a reason he has over 115k subscribers, he’s that good.
What I think is so special about him though is that he doesn’t just come here and post his old content, he embraces Steem and it’s community with open arms and even started posting to dtube first as well as starting out his videos talking about Steem.
James is a walking advertisement for Steem
and his passion for this place is something we are lucky to have, as he adds more value than I can put into words.
I’m pretty sure this post says it all...
I have recently achieved one of my goals of 100k Subscribers on Youtube. The ironic thing is that I am often more excited to make Dtube videos and post on the Steem blockchain, then I am to just post on Youtube.
I have been posting videos on Youtube for 7 years now. The first 5 years of posting on YT I only accumulated 2,500 subscribers, then in the last 5 years I have gained over 100k. The reason for this is because in the past 2 years I have really put the pedal to the metal, and focused on creating as much value as I possibly can.
Looking back at the time it has taken to reach this goal, it reminds me of a quote by Bill Gates which says “Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.” When reading this quote it also gives me a different perspective on #Dtube and the Steem blockchain. Even if the price of Steem stays where it is, or drops within the next year or two, I am confident that within the next 10 to 15 years #Dtube and Steem will be incredibly valuable.
The more I learn about crypto and the power of this blockchain, the more I am excited to wake up each day and share as much value as I can on here.
I have a new goal on Steemit, which is to gain at least 1k followers by the end of this summer, and a bigger goal of achieving 5k followers by the end of this year. Now that I have set this goal, I will begin working and doing what I can to daily get one step closer and turn it into reality.

I think James is someone who will be an advocate for Steem, when the time is right. In fact, one of these days I hope to make it out to the food forest and do a Steem video with him.. as who better to tell the world about Steem then someone who is passionate about this place and has an audience like he does?
