My child who was in preschool came running to me shouting with so much joy and pride in her heart " mama looked at I have this oh", showing her hands with a very good in a paper ribbon given to her by her teacher. To my joy also I hugged my daughter and kissed her and hugged her very tightly same feeling as her with pride and happiness in my heart.
As a mother, we should always celebrate recognition of our daughter/sons be it a small or big These would always mean to them.Celebrating small wins means so much to them.Just a simple hugs and kisses always made their day a beautiful day. As I reflect through this experience,I feel guilty on not being present when there are school events or activities.I usually skip important dates when this happened because I'm too busy teaching other kids, but In my own little child I missed all her school activities. Many times I would say, I will just find a perfect time to attend of those,but sadly missed again the school events. Even though I can't promised to my daughter that I will be there always for her during school events and activities but I promised to her that I will become the best mother that I could be. I wanted to leave my work to focus on her and give her the quality time she needs but I can't.So many worries and thoughts running on my mind. All I can say is just I'm still here silently supporting here always and always.
