No fue hasta que me comenzaron a salir videos en tik tok sobre recomendaciones de documentales para ver los fines de semana, que me interese en tomarlos en cuenta para que estuviesen dentro de mi intenerario de entretenimiento. Si bien, soy más de ver series que películas, algo por lo cual nunca me había interesado en lo absoluto fueron los documentales ya que a decir verdad me parecían algo aburridos, pero, hasta hace poco comencé a seguir a una chica argentina que se dedica en sus videos a recomendar documentales y sin tener nada que perder empecé a probar, y ahora estoy aquí yo, recomendando en mi blog uno de los últimos documentales que ví y que deseo ustedes queridos amigos cinéfilos vean también. 🫶🏽 Este documental en cuestión va enfocado a hablarnos sobre el famoso reality show llamado "the biggest loser" aquel programa de tv americano que creo casi todos recordamos, dónde personas con obesidad lograban bajar de peso en tiempo récord con la finalidad tanto de "mejorar su salud" estilo de vida y llevarse el premio gordo, puesto que se disputaba una cantidad de dinero muy considerable en cada temporada. >It wasn't until I started seeing videos on TikTok recommending documentaries to watch on the weekends that I became interested in adding them to my entertainment schedule. Although I'm more of a TV series person than a movie person, I had never been interested in documentaries at all because, to be honest, I found them boring. But recently, I started following an Argentine girl who recommends documentaries in her videos, and with nothing to lose, I decided to give them a try. Now here I am, recommending one of the latest documentaries I watched on my blog, which I hope you, my fellow movie lovers, will also enjoy. 🫶🏽 >This documentary focuses on the famous reality show called “The Biggest Loser,” that American TV program that I think we all remember, where obese people managed to lose weight in record time with the aim of both “improving their health” and lifestyle and winning the jackpot, since a very considerable amount of money was up for grabs each season.  Sin embargo, no todo fue lindo en este reality, ya que detrás de él se escondían ciertos asuntos muy cuestionables y por mucho poco saludables, todo por solamente mantener a la audiencia enganchada pero, ¿A qué costo? Es aquí cuando los ex participantes del programa relatan en entrevistas lo duro que fue formar parte del equipo donde muchas personas mataban por audicionar, desde maltratos físicos, verbales y psicológicos como también el incentivo a deteriorar la salud propia de cada participante como si fuera algo "normal". En este documental no solamente se enfocan a escuchar el testimonio de los ex participantes, también de los entrenadores y productores del mismo, lo cual me pareció genial pues es importante tener cada lado de la historia y juzgar por uno mismo, quien lo hizo bien, quien lo hizo mal o realmente ninguno sabía el embrollo en donde se estaban metiendo ¿? Es un tema bueno para reflexionar. >However, not everything was rosy on this reality show, as behind the scenes there were some very questionable and unhealthy issues, all for the sake of keeping the audience hooked, but at what cost? This is when former participants of the program recount in interviews how hard it was to be part of the team that many people would kill to audition for, from physical, verbal, and psychological abuse to encouraging the deterioration of each participant's health as if it were something “normal.” >This documentary not only focuses on listening to the testimony of former participants, but also of the coaches and producers of the show, which I thought was great because it's important to hear both sides of the story and judge for yourself who did right, who did wrong, or if none of them really knew the mess they were getting themselves into. It's a good topic to reflect on.  Pero más allá de todo el terror que se vivió dentro del programa, podemos ver un seguimiento de los ex participantes y como evolucionó su vida, algunos para bien y otros aunque no tuvieron el mejor destino o la vida soñada, lograron sacar algo positivo de dicha experiencia, es conmovedor verlo de tal forma y lo más importante ¿Ellos volverían a participar en el programa si pudieran retroceder el tiempo? 🤔 Espero tomen en cuenta mi recomendación y se animen a ver este documental, consta de pocos capitulos y fácilmente puedes verlos todos en una sola tarde. ¿Se animan? >But beyond all the terror experienced within the program, we can see a follow-up of the former participants and how their lives evolved. Some for the better, and others, although they did not have the best fate or the life they dreamed of, managed to get something positive out of the experience. It is moving to see it that way, and most importantly, would they participate in the program again if they could turn back time? 🤔 >I hope you take my recommendation into account and decide to watch this documentary. It consists of only a few episodes, and you can easily watch them all in a single afternoon.
