Time to Make a Hard Decision

Folks, we have been considering what to do with the LOLZ Project for several months.

While we have some good news we plan to share soon, we have some bad news to share today.

We will be shutting down all LOLZ Farming at the end of September. That includes both tokens and Hive.

We had been considering ending farming for a number of reasons, but recently events have forced our hand. Recently people began dumping LOLZ tokens in what may or may not be an attempt to "game" the farming system. Regardless of intent, the effect remains.

In addition to the complete ending of LOLZ Farming at the end of September, we will be paying rewards starting tomorrow based on an LOLZ value of 0.0025 HIVE. We selected the 0.0025 value as a recent low before the most recent dumping.

Both of these changes are being made to prevent abuse of our farming system and protect the stakers.

Please un-delegate your tokens as soon as possible.

We know there are some good options out there right now for a number of tokens and we encourage you to move your delegations to those to continue to earn farming rewards.

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting the LOLZ Project. Like I said, we have some additional changes we are working to implement that we believe will help increase the value of the LOLZ Token.

With a 10% annual percentage rate (APR) we are offering one of the highest returns on HP delegations on the blockchain. In addition, LOLZ farming rewards are paid daily directly to your Hive Engine wallet. Save them to level up and be able to use the !LOLZ command and earn dividends, or sell them.

Not sure how that compares to your curation earnings? You can check your curation APR on HiveStats, just don't be surprised that our 10% APR reward rate is a fair bit higher than you are getting from your curation efforts.

Where to Delegate To

Our main need for HP is to power @lolzbot. It takes a lot of HP to share jokes and crypto all day long. But maybe you want to support the community in your favorite tribe?

That is why we have made it possible to delegate to any of our tribal curation bots as well. For example, if you want to support users in the Cine community you could delegate some HP to the @lolz.cine curation bot. Or if you love to share jokes and memes you may want to delegate to @lolz.meme.

Which ever accounts you delegate to, you will earn LOLZ tokens equivalent to a 10% APR on your delegated HP - so the choice is up to you.
