Hello fam its me Lorah and this is my entry. For this week’s performance, I’ll be singing Don’t Dream It’s Over by Crowded House, which is honestly one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. I had listened to it before, but I truly fell in love with it after watching the series about the Menendez brothers. I don’t know if you’ve seen that series, but there’s something about the way this song was used in the story that is really emotional. For week 39 I was so honored to win in 5th place and it was such a big moment for me, and I’m deeply grateful to the judges for their thoughtful feedback and to everyone who voted for me. Your support has been a huge encouragement, and it really motivates me to keep growing as an artist and to keep putting my heart into every performance.
For this week’s entry, I recorded my video after finishing my exams at school, but later I realized I had mistakenly introduced it as my Week 39 entry instead of Week 40 but Since I was supposed to head home the very next day, I didn’t have much time, so I quickly re-recorded the introduction at home That’s why the final video looks the way it does. I hope you enjoy my cover of Don’t Dream It’s Over as much as I enjoyed performing it.
