Hi guys it your girl lorah, and this is my entry for Week 42 of the Vibes Web3 Music Competition. This week, I decided to sing “Man I Need” by Olivia Dean. It’s a song I recently discovered on TikTok and from the very first time I heard it, I just fell in love. There’s something about the way she sings it…..it’s emotional and honest but still so powerful. It feels real, like she’s saying everything so many of us have felt but never had the right words for. I don’t remember the exact month it was released, but I know it’s one of her newer songs.The lyrics Is about wanting someone who’s ready not just emotionally available, but genuinely present.
I love how vulnerable the song feels It’s not desperate it’s just honest. It talks about that space between hope and uncertainty when you care deeply for someone but you’re still wondering if they feel the same way. And even though the song sounds gentle, there’s this quiet strength in her voice, like she knows what she deserves. That’s what makes it so beautiful to me. Singing this song made me feel connected not just to Olivia Dean’s story, but to my own emotions too. It reminded me how powerful it is to want love that’s intentional and mutual.
