So heres an update on the cutting phase I started a few weeks ago. Its going decent.
I might delete this photo tomorrow morning. Wife told me not to post it because this is what men looking for men post online. ๐
Some stats:
- Height 196cm (6ft5)
- Weight 128.5kg (282lbs)
- i seem to be around 23-24% bodyfat
- goal 15%. About 10 kg (24lbs) to lose.
- the FFMI thingy at 26. Which is apparently decent.
- About 6 months of dedicated training so far with watching what i eat.
Soโฆ some observations.
-
Creatine gud. Creatine actually insane. If I didnt see @khaleelkazi posting about it on Twitter id probably miss out big.
Besides it adding water weight its getting my max bench press closer to 160kg that i want to try one day. Never actually attempted it yet but i did do 140kg for 3 reps. Im sure i can do more. Massive jump i did not expect. Creatine lets me do more reps, cleaner, with better pump. -
havent had any alcohol in 3 months. Sleep better. Less snoring.
-
loading up on carbs a day before big lifts makes a huge difference so i do that once a week before chest day. A special mix salad with 1kg of beans, 500g of fresh cheese. I try and be 500-800 calories under maintain. Too much under and i feel deflated and weaker visibly.

LIDL cottage cheese is a god given. 23g of protein per serving. My fridge full of them all day. Still have a problem hitting daily protein intake of 250g. No human being was made to eat this much protein so obviously im not optimal in intake. Thats like 40 eggs a day. ๐
But i always try to be above 120-150g. -
influencer advice online is dogshit. I actually got the best rear delt, dumbell excercize for me from some random obese dude on tiktok. A dumbell face pull type thing. Wonderful.
Influencers are almost all on steroids and almost nothing they say applies to me. I do push pull 3-4 times a week, beyond that I get massive fatigue. Early on I would try 5-6 days a week and i would regularly get sick. Full body excercises dont work for me, theyre murder and non optimal. Cant push as hard. -
Mike Mentzer rocks. The only newer guy I found worth listening to was Mike Israetel and thats mostly from an educational/entertainment standpoint as I found that for actual training the most important part is showing up and doing hard work over focusing specifically on science based lifts or whatnot.
-
Iwould recomend getting into the gym culture though a bit as it can be motivational even though most fitness influencers are more walking pharmacies that I wouldnt even go as far as calling fit.
-
And my knees work again, I can jump with no pain, after quite a bit of early painful squats. I had an operation on one knee and the other one I should have but didnt want to stupidly. Hehe.
So yeah. Thats about it. Ill do one more at 15% bodyfat and then im off to OnlyFans to look for guys.
