This week I brought a **Ranked** battle, where careful positioning was needed and my opponent monsters and **Summoner** was way stronger than mines, so I had to bring a trick for this battle! ๐Ÿ˜

Ruleset Description
Odd Ones Out Only Monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.
Target Practice All Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability.
The mana cap was 38, which is quite good, but it is far from my favorite of high mana battles. Anyway the most important factor are the rulesets, which will modify the battle rules. The first one is the **Odd Ones Out**, which means that only the **Odd** mana cost monsters are available for this battle, so essentially it will halves the monster pool. That is quite bad, but some of the **Splinters** are better with **Odd** monsters and some of them better with **Even** monsters. ๐Ÿ˜‰ The **Target Practice** ruleset will spice the things up a little, because it will give the **Snipe** ability to all the **Ranged** and **Magic** attack monsters, so they will target the first non-melee attack monster from the enemy team. ๐Ÿ˜†

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner Pembrook Nymph

image.png

The **Pembrook Nymph** cost 6 mana, which means that she is quite expensive compared to some of the cheaper **Summoners**, but her ability is to give +1 **Health** to all of her friendly monsters, which is also not that strong. On the otherhand her last ability is to bring one additional **Gladiator** monster into this battle which is quite amazing, because that would be a huge advantage over my opponent if I pick that monster carefully. ๐Ÿ’ช

Main Tank Noa the Just image.png

**Noa the Just** is quite cheap costing only 5 mana and compared to his mana cost he has quite a lot of **Health** and **Armor** in return, so he was the perfect choice to use him as my main tank protecting my lineup and more importantly my **Isgald**. He also has strong features such as his high **Speed** and the **Rust** ability, which will decrease all the enemy **Armors** by two as long as he is alive. ๐Ÿ˜Š

The Weapons Trainer Kulu Mastermind image.png

The **Kulu Mastermind** works perfectly in any team if you put a non-attack monsters next to him to take advantage of his **Weapons Trainer** ability, so this time he was able to give a maximum of three **Melee** attack to the monsters next to him. ๐Ÿ˜‡

diablo_divider_no1_water.png

The Gladiator Isgald Vorst image.png

**Isgald Vorst** will be my key **Gladiator** monster in this battle and that is why I brought Pembrook Nymph as my Summoner. He is a **Melee** attack monster and he has the **Opportunity** ability, which means that he will be able to attack the lowest **Health** monster from the enemy team and on top of that if he manages to kill them he will increase his own stat by one using his **Bloodlust** ability. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

diablo_divider_no1_water.png

The Martyr Venari Marksrat image.png

The **Venari Marksrat** is a **Martyr** monster and apart from that he doesn't have too much stats. He doesn't need to be strong at all, because he has one important ability, which means that he will increase the stats of the monsters next to him by one if he dies, which makes him pretty strong. ๐Ÿ˜œ

diablo_divider_no1_water.png

The Sneaker Pelacor Bandit image.png

The **Pelacor Bandit** is a very nice budget monster who doesn't cost a lot of mana, but offers great **Melee** attack damage with very high **Speed**. His most important feature is his **Sneak** attack, which means that he will always target the last monster from the enemy team. ๐Ÿ˜‹

diablo_divider_no1_water.png

The Repairer and Giant Killer Swamp Spitter image.png

The **Swamp Spitter** is an excellent monster for this battle, because even though he has +2 **Ranged** attack damage, which works nicely to damage down his enemies. My first reason to brought him is that he has the **Repair** ability as well, which will allow him to repair two armor piece on a friendly monster who recently lost some of his **Armor**. ๐Ÿ˜‡

My opponent brought **Grandmaster Rathe** who is a **Life** Summoner and also a pretty strong one, because for six mana he gives three abilities to his monsters. The first is to give them +1 **Armor**, so they will be able to block one incoming **Melee** or **Ranged** attack. The second is the **Void Armor**, so his monsters will be able to use their **Armor** (*even that only one*) to block **Magic** attacks as well. His third ability is the **Amplify**, which will increases all the **Retaliate**, **Corrosive Ward**, **Magic Reflect**, **Return Fire** and **Thorns** damage to all enemy monsters by one. ๐Ÿ’ช The beginning of the first round started good, because thanks to the **Target Practice** ruleset the enemy monsters (*who is able to do so*) targeted my **Marksrat** and also my **Isgald** quickly achieved his first kill and managed to activate his **Bloodlust** ability, which increased all of his stats by one. Not much happened in the first round, but in the second a similar situation happened and my **Isgald** killed another monster from the enemy team, which further boosted up his strength. ๐Ÿค— Just before the second round finished my **Kulu** and **Swamp Spitter** killed their **Janni Rebel** as their tank who was the strongest monster on the board. ๐Ÿ˜œ ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/lorddiablo/23tGZw9undj9AkYV27Dpgtd7naVaQxyn5QhyjKT4otxji1TQh4D4vQNvJ5CybkGp3mYiX.png) In the third round my **Kulu** killed their last monster using his **Opportunity** ability and only two monster left from the enemy team. ๐Ÿ˜… My opponent lost their tank in the fourth round and right at the beginning my **Noa** also killed their last monster with the help of my **Kulu Mastermind** who gave him the weapn to be able to do that! ๐Ÿ˜‡
