Overview
Today I brought a Wild battle, where their was not too much option choose from as a Splinter, so it was quite big chance for a mirror match. I liked the rulesets which I got and I have to try to come up with something different than my opponent, but I think it will be a close game! ๐
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Healed Out | All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners. |
Fog of War | Monsters lose the Sneak and Snipe abilities. |
Melee Mayhem | Melee attack Monsters can attack from any position. |
My lineup
|I wanted to use a specific Gladiator card in this battle, so I had to pick Octavia Shadowmeld who is able to use one additional Gladiator monster in her battle. She will also decrease the health of all the enemy monsters by one, which is just the cherry on top. ๐| |I had to bring a pretty solid tank in order to try to survive the first few rounds and that is why I picked the Harklaw who is by the way one of my favorite tank in the game, because he has amazing abilities. The first and most important is the Shield ability, so he will halves all the incoming melee and ranged attacks hence he is my tank. The second is his Immunity ability, so no one can affect him with any magic debuffs and the third is the Demoralize, so he will decrease the melee attack of all the enemy monsters by one. ๐ค|
|The Cursed Windeku is a strong and cheap tank within the Death Splinter even thought he doesn't have the Shield ability. His 6 mana cost gives him +2 melee attack on its own and 10 health, so he will be able to sustain a lot of damage. He also has the Thorns ability, which is excellent if both of our teams mostly using melee attack monster, so if an enemy melee attacker deals damage to him he will reflect two damage back to them. ๐| |Trapp Falloway was the whole reason I picked Octavia for this battle, because his defense is quite weak to use him in the first round, but as as a melee attacker in the Melee Mayhem ruleset he is perfect, because he has huge amount of damage and speed and on top of that he has the Bloodlust ability as a Gladiator monster, which means that if he manages to kill his target he will increase his own stat by one permanently. ๐|
|The Ravenhood Warden is a ranged attack monster and I had to bring him with a very good reason! He has +2 ranged attack damage two very powerful ability, which is the Protect and the Inspire abilities. This is just too good to miss out, because he will give +2 armor and +1 melee attack to his friendly monsters as long as he is alive! ๐| |Even thought the Clockwork Aide doesn't have any attack on its own he has the Swiftness ability, which will increase the speed of all of his friendly monsters by one, but more importantly he has the Rust ability as well, so if my opponent would also bring the Ravenhood Warden like me to get some protection my Aide will step in and remove that easily with his ability. ๐ |
|The Corpse Fiend cost zero mana, which meakes him easy to use and he also has +1 melee attack on its own, which will be further boosted by the Inspire ability from my Warden. Thanks to the Melee Mayhem ruleset he is also be able to attack from the back of my lineup, which is amazing! ๐|
