This week I brought a battle, where I will battle against one of the strongest monster in the game who is **Quora Towershed**. She is strong, because as a **Gladiator** monster she has the **Bloodlust** ability, which means that if she manages to kill her target she will increase her own stats by one. On top of that she also has the self **Heal** ability, which provides her a huge amount of sustain. ๐
Hope you will enjoy the battle like I did! ๐

Ruleset |
Description |
Noxious Fumes |
All Monsters start the battle Poisoned. |
|
Higher HP and cleanse are the best choise. However there may be some cases where you go for a big offensive attack and wipe out your opponent before the poison becomes a factor. |
|
|
The mana cap was 47, which is more than enough for my needs and I always like to play in high mana cap battles, because I can use my favorite strategies.
The **Noxious Fumes** ruleset is quite tricky, so I need to use careful plannings placing my monsters, because all of them will take two damage at the end of every round. The longer a monster is able to stand on the battlefield is the baetter, because all the other monsters will die out eventually. ๐

My lineup and the decision behind it!
Summoner
Pembrook Nymph

The **Pembrook Nymph** cost 6 mana, which will make her not the cheapest **Summoner**, and her ability is to give +1 **Health** to all of her frendly monsters, which is also not that strong, but she has the ability to bring one additional **Gladiator** monster into this battle, which could be a huge advantage over her opponent. ๐ช

Interesting Main Tank
Noa the Just

**Noa the Just** is quite cheap costing only 5 mana, but he doesn't have too much **Health** in return. His biggest power is that he has the same amount of armors, which is perfect to use him as my tank. He also has strong features such as his high **Speed** and the **Rust** ability, which will decrease all the enemy armors by two as long as he is alive. ๐ค

Damage Dealer and Weapon Trainer
Kulu Mastermind

The **Kulu Mastermind** is a very special monster, because he has the **Weapons Training** ability, so he will give his own attack to the non-attack monsters adjacent of him. Thanks to his **Opportunity** ability he will be able to attack any position of my backline to attack the lowest **Health** monster from the enemy backline. ๐

Magic Tank
Djinn Oshannus

The **Djinn Oshannus** is an excellent tank especially against **Magic** attack mosnters and also a damage dealer as well. He has a lot of **Health** and the **Void** ability, which means that he is well protected against the enemy incoming magic attacks, because he will halves all those damage.. ๐

Protector
Venari Wavesmith

The **Venari Wavesmith** is an old card, because that was the first one I ever bought when I started playing Splinterlands long time ago. He cost only 5 mana and he has nice amount of damage and on top of that he has the ability to provide +2 **Armor** to his allies, which makes him truly amazing. ๐

The Blaster
Riverboat Captain

I used the **Riverboat Captain** as a **Magic** attack damage dealer, so he will hit his target under their armor. He also has the **Blast** ability, which will damage all the adjacent monsters of his target. He has +2 **Magic** attack from level one, which is quite good for six mana. ๐

The Repairer
Swamp Spitter

The **Swamp Spitter** cost seven mana, which makes him quite pricey, but he has a lot of **Ranged** attack damage. He also has the **Repair** ability, so he will restore some of the lost **Armor** on one of his allies in every round. The **Giant killer** is also amazing, because if he attacks a monster whom cost more than 10 mana he will deal double damage against it! ๐

My opponent brought the **Helios Matriarch** Summoner who belongs to the **Dragon** Splinter and her abilities are similar than mine, because she gives +1 **Speed** to her monsters and she is also able to pick one additional **Gladiator** into this battle if my opponent decides to bring any. (*Unfortunately he did!*) ๐
My opponent used his **Quora** as his tank and I am not sure that was a really good idea especially in the **Noxious Fumes** ruleset where all the monsters will die quick, but we will see what was his tactic with that.
In the first round all of my monsters started attacking their decoy **Slipspawn** and even though they couldn't kill her, luckily tha **Poison** killed her when the round ended.
The second round started badly, because I lost my tank and **Quora** killed him, which means that she was able to increase all of her stats by one. My **Venari Wavesmith** had the **Dispel** ability as well, so he was able to confiscate that buff from **Quora** and even kill her at the end of the second round, which was a huge relief.
Their **Fungus Flinger** also died against the **Poison** at the end of the round and most of the monsters had very little **Health** left.
In the third round they killed my **Kulu Mastermind**, but my team also killed one of them as well and only two **Ranged** attack monster left in their team. Soon after my team killed their **Ava** as well, so their last monster couldn't attack any more as a **Ranged** attacker from the first position and my **Oshannus** still had six **Health**, which was enough to make him to survive this round and killing their last monster.
The **Repair** helped a lot throughout the battle, because many times it blocked powerful attacks, which gave a lot of sustain to my monsters and they were able to win this battle for me. ๐
