This week I brought a **Wild Ranked** battle, where I will try a different strategy than starting killing my opponent monsters starting with their tank and instead I will try to kill their backline monsters first to reduce their threat. ๐
Hope you will enjoy the battle like I did! ๐

| Ruleset |
Description |
| Deflection Field |
All units have the Deflect ability. |
| Weak Magic |
Magic damage hits armor before reducing health. |
|
|
The mana cap was 37, which is not much, but allows me to use few higher mana cost key monsters in order to creat a team, which I can use to destroy my opponent monsters. ๐
The **Deflection Field** ruleset will give the **Deflect** ability to all the monsters on the battlefield, which means that they are not going to take any reflected and **Blast** damage at all.
The **Weak Magic** is not that big of an issue, but it is worthwhile to think that the **Magic** attack monster will hit the **Armor** of their enemies, so it would be better to use different monsters instead of them unless you have a nice strategy in mind. ๐

My lineup and the decision behind it!
Summoner
Pembrook Nymph

The **Pembrook Nymph** cost 6 mana, which means that she is quite pricey for this ruleset, but her ability is to give +1 **Health** to all of her frendly monsters, which is also not that strong. On the otherhand her last ability to bring one additional **Gladiator** monster into this battle is amazing, which could be a huge advantage over my opponent. ๐ช

Main Tank
Noa the Just

**Noa the Just** is quite cheap costing only 5 mana and compared to his mana cost he has quite a lot of **Health** and **Armor** in return, so he was the perfect choice to use him as my tank. He also has strong features such as his high **Speed** and the **Rust** ability, which will decrease all the enemy armors by two as long as he is alive. ๐ค

The Weapons Trainer
Kulu Mastermind

The **Kulu Mastermind** is a very special monster, because he has the **Weapons Training** ability, so he will give his own attack to the non-attack monsters adjacent of him. Thanks to his **Opportunity** ability he will be able to attack any position of my backline to attack the lowest **Health** monster from the enemy backline. ๐

Buffer and De-buffer with Damage
Clockwork Aide

The **Clockwork Aide** doesnt have any attack on its own, so he relies solely on my **Kulu Mastermind** to get a nice amount of **Melee** attack. He has only one **Health**, but a loads of **Armor**, so he is a perfect monster with the **Weak Magic** ruleset. He also has the **Rust** ability to further remove the enemy **Armors** by two and also the **Swiftness** ability, which will increase the **Speed** of all of his friendly monsters by one. ๐

The Opportunist
Isgald Vorst

**Isgald Vorst** will be my key **Gladiator** monster in this battle and that is why I brought **Pembrook Nymph** as a Summoner. He is a **Melee** attack monster and he has the **Opportunity** like my **Kulu Mastermind**, so he will be able to attack the lowest **Health** monster from the enemy team and if he manages to kill them he will increase his own stat by one using his **Bloodlust** ability. ๐

Backline Destroyer
Pelacor Bandit

The **Pelacor Bandit** is a very nice budget monster who doesn't cost a lot of mana, but offers great **Melee** attack damage and amazing **Speed**. His most important feature other than these is his **Sneak** attack, which means that he will always target the last monster from the enemy team. ๐

The Protector
Venari Wavesmith

The **Venari Wavesmith** is one of my favorite low mana cost monster, because he cost only 5 mana and he has nice amount of damage, but on top of that he has the ability to provide +2 **Armor** to his allies, which makes him truly amazing. ๐

My opponent brought the **Kelya Frendul** who is a **Water** Summoner and such he has quite good monsters in every range. His ability is to give +1 **Speed** and **Armor** to all of his monsters, which is amazing, because he allows his monsters to block one full **Melee** or **Ranged** attack. ๐
In the first round my monsters with the **Opportunity** attacks targeted their **Venari Marksrat** who had the lowest **Health** amongst the other monsters. This tactic from my opponent was very good, because when he died he increased the stats of his adjacent monsters by one. On top of that their **Hellondale** got him back to life with one **Health** using his **Resurrection** ability, so he died and activated his **Martyr** ability twice. ๐
Luckily in the second round my **Isgald Vorst** killed their **Swamp Spitter**, so my opponent lost a very important monster and also made my **Isgald** stronger, because he was able to use his **Bloodlust** ability. Sadly I also lost my **Noa** as well just before the round ended.
In the third round **Isgald** managed to kill another monster from their backline further boosted himself up and even thought I lost my **Kulu Mastermind** their **Diemonshark** was badly damaged and died in the end of the round.
My opponent had their strong **Ranged** attack monster fell into the first position, so she was unable to fight from there, but they still survived the fourth round.
It was quite easy to finish their two remaining monsters in the sixth round and allowed me to win this battle. My strategy worked pretty well trying to kill their backline first and destryoing their squishy damage dealers using our monsters with the **Opportunity** and **Sneak** abilities. ๐ค
