Overview
Today I brought a Wild Ranked battle, where I will try to beat my opponent with only ranged attack monsters, which is always difficult, because their would be either a mirror match or very similar monsters, because the available monster pool will be heavily limited. 😇

The mana cap for my next battle was only 45, which is quite good, but sadly the **Going the Distance** ruleset will only allow the use of **ranged** attack monsters, so it would be important to find an important difference to take advantage over my opponent. 😉
The **Equalizer** ruleset will increase the **health** of all the monsters to match the highest **health** monster, so basically all the monsters will have the same amount of **health** at the beginning of the battle.
Usually the **Equal Opportunity** is a very important ruleset and you should be very careful planning your team, because all the monsters on the battlefield will start to attack the monsters with the lowest **health**. The **Equalizer** ruleset will counter this easily, because all the monsters will have the same **health**, so all the monsters will start to attack the first monster in each our lineups. 😊

|I picked the Eternan Brute, because he will decrease two armor from my opponent monsters and I might be able to bring an additional Gladiator monsters if I will find another one. 😁|
|The Tokatag Conscript is just a plain budget monster and that is why she is very cheap, which is good to save up some mana for my heavy hitters behind her. She has only one attack damage, but she is not capable to attack from the first position, but at least she will soak up some damage from the nemy team. 😜|
|The Lava Launcher is one of the reason I brought the Fire Splinter, because even though he is expensive with his 9 mana, he is just too perfect for this battle. He has quite a lot of ranged attack damage and huge amount of armor, so it is best to use him at the front of my team as a tank or off-tank. The other reason is his Close Range ability, becasue he would be able to attack from the first position if it comes to that.|
|The Firecaller is a very special monster, because first of all she is a damage dealer and she is a very good one and also has the Martyr ability, which means if she dies she will increase all the stats of her adjacent monsters by one. 😎|
|The Gargoya Devil cost seven mana and stats wise apart from his ranged attack is not that strong, but at least the Equalizer ruleset increased his health a bit. He also has the Close Range ability, so he will be able to attack from the first position if he has to. 🤗|
|The Venari Marksrat is a must have in almost any battle, not because he is so powerful, but because he has the Martyr ability, so when he dies he will increase all the stats of the monsters adjacent to him. Luckily He is also a ranged attack monster with one damage, so I was allowed to bring him into this battle. 😌|
|Tatiana Blayde will be my key monster for this battle hence I used her at the back of my lineup. Even though she has melee attack she also has ranged attack as well and this is the only exception when I can use a melee attack monster for the Going the Distance ruleset. She is also a Gladiator monster, so whenever she manages to kill her target she would be able to increase her own stats by one until the end of the battle. 💪|

My opponent brought the **Octavia Shadowmeld** who is a **Death** Summoner and her power is to reduce the **health** of all of the enemy monsters by one and on top of that she would be able to bring one additional **Gladiator** monster if my opponent wants. 😊
In the first round all of the enemy monsters attacked my tank first, because all of our **health** were the same and they quickly killed her as well. Sadly their **Tatiana** killed it, so she was able to activate her **Bloodlust** ability.
My team also killed their tank who was their **Marksrat** and he used his **Martyr** ability to buff up their **Tatiana** again. It was quite difficult to hit her, because she had quite a lot of **speed** by now an she even killed my armored **Lava Launcher** easily and with her second attack she killed my **Firecaller** as well. 😒
Their **Tatiana** managed to activate her **Bloodlust** ability three times already and got the buff from their **Marksrat**, which made her pretty strong already.
In the middle of the second round my **Gargoya Devil** was speedy and lucky enough to kill their **Tatian**, which was a huge threat already and right after that I have lost my **Marksrat** who used his **Martyr** ability to buff two of my monsters as well. 😉
In the third round my only two monster who remained killed their **Gargoya Devil** and I also lost my **Tatian** as well, which was a very bad sign.
In the fourth round I only had my **Gargoya Devil** left in my team, but he loves to be alone, so let's hope that would be enough to kill their three remaining monsters.
In the fifth round he killed one monster and had to wait two rounds to kill another and only his **speed** saved him from death in the eight round, because he was quicker than their last monster and killed him quickly, so my 'team' or my **Devil** was able to win this battle for me. 😇

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to try to utilise my **Tatiana** who was at the back of my team, but unfortunately she was quite unlucky, because she was not able to kill any monster, so her powers were quite bad. On the oter hand I would never expect that my **Gargoya Devil** will be so good especially at the end of the battle, so he was a huge surprise for me. 😎
