Hello everyone, my name is Lorentm, and I am a digital artist who loves to bring imagination to life through colors and lines. Welcome to my art blog! Today, I am thrilled to share with you a new piece I created for the amazing community of @holozing.
When I first saw the character Tiderion, the majestic water dragon, I was instantly captivated by his design and personality. Tiderion embodies the serenity and strength of water: calm on the surface but immensely powerful when in motion. His presence immediately inspired me to explore a new artistic interpretation.
For this project, I wanted to challenge myself by giving Tiderion an anime aesthetic, drawing inspiration from one of my favorite characters, Giyu Tomioka from Demon Slayer. Combining these two ideas felt like the perfect fusion between elegance, discipline, and the untamed force of water.
I’m beyond excited to share this fan art with you, and I want to thank both @acidyo and @holozing for their constant support and encouragement to keep creating. This artwork is not only a personal journey for me, but also a way to connect with a community that shares the same love for creativity and imagination.

> Cuando vi por primera vez al personaje Tiderion, el majestuoso dragón de agua, quedé instantáneamente cautivada por su diseño y personalidad. Tiderion encarna la serenidad y la fuerza del agua: calma en la superficie pero inmensamente poderosa en movimiento. Su presencia me inspiró de inmediato a explorar una nueva interpretación artística.
> Para este proyecto, quise retarme a mí misma al darle a Tiderion una estética anime, tomando inspiración de uno de mis personajes favoritos, Giyu Tomioka de Demon Slayer. La fusión de estas dos ideas me pareció la combinación perfecta entre elegancia, disciplina y la fuerza indomable del agua.

Tiderion in this artwork stands tall and determined, holding a katana that symbolizes both grace and lethal precision. His expression is stern and focused, transmitting the idea that he is always ready to protect and fight when necessary. His blue hair flows like waves, representing the constant movement of water, while the horns and dragon-like features highlight his mythical essence.
The outfit I chose for him reflects a blend between a traditional anime swordsman and his original draconic nature. He wears a green checkered haori reminiscent of Giyu Tomioka’s iconic attire, but adapted to fit Tiderion’s unique personality. Every detail, from the way his sleeves flow to the sharp glint of the sword, was carefully chosen to enhance his dynamic presence.
The scene itself captures the moment of action: Tiderion is surrounded by spiraling waves of water, as if he is summoning the very force of the ocean to aid him in battle. The blue tones dominate the composition, creating both harmony and power. It is a portrait of movement, energy, and elegance.
> En esta obra, Tiderion se muestra erguido y decidido, sosteniendo una katana que simboliza tanto la gracia como la precisión letal. Su expresión es seria y enfocada, transmitiendo la idea de que siempre está listo para proteger y luchar cuando sea necesario. Su cabello azul fluye como las olas, representando el movimiento constante del agua, mientras que los cuernos y rasgos de dragón resaltan su esencia mítica.
> El atuendo que elegí refleja una mezcla entre un espadachín tradicional de anime y su naturaleza dracónica original. Lleva un haori verde con patrones geométricos que recuerdan al icónico traje de Giyu Tomioka, pero adaptado para resaltar la personalidad única de Tiderion. Cada detalle, desde el movimiento de las mangas hasta el brillo afilado de la espada, fue cuidadosamente trabajado para acentuar su presencia dinámica.
> La escena en sí captura un momento de acción: Tiderion está rodeado por ondas de agua en espiral, como si invocara la fuerza misma del océano para ayudarlo en combate. Los tonos azules dominan la composición, creando al mismo tiempo armonía y poder. Es un retrato de movimiento, energía y elegancia.

The first stage was sketching, where I laid down the structure and posture of Tiderion. I focused on giving him a dynamic stance that showed determination and readiness. This part is always exciting because it’s where the initial idea begins to take form on the canvas.
Next came the line art. With clean lines, I defined the shape of his body, hair, and clothing. This step allowed me to bring more precision and clarity to the drawing, ensuring that every detail of his dragon-like features and samurai-inspired outfit would stand out.
Coloring was the moment when Tiderion truly came alive. I carefully chose the shades of blue for his hair, making them flow naturally with highlights of purple, while the green haori added contrast and depth. Balancing the palette was important to keep the harmony of the artwork.
Adding shadows gave dimension and weight to the character. By deepening the folds of his clothes and emphasizing the flow of his hair, the figure started to gain volume and strength. Shadows helped transmit his presence and intensity.
Then came the highlights, which are one of my favorite parts. Bright details in the sword, hair, and water waves brought energy and magic to the scene. It made the artwork sparkle as if light itself were interacting with Tiderion’s power.
Finally, I created the background with swirling water, complementing his role as the water dragon. The movement of the waves completed the composition, framing Tiderion in an environment that truly reflects his essence.
> La primera etapa fue el boceto, donde plasmé la estructura y postura de Tiderion. Me enfoqué en darle una pose dinámica que transmitiera determinación y preparación. Esta parte siempre es emocionante porque es donde la idea inicial empieza a tomar forma en el lienzo.
> Después pasé al delineado. Con líneas limpias, definí la forma de su cuerpo, cabello y vestimenta. Este paso me permitió darle mayor precisión y claridad al dibujo, asegurando que cada detalle de sus rasgos dracónicos y del atuendo inspirado en un samurái resaltara.
> El coloreado fue el momento en que Tiderion realmente cobró vida. Elegí cuidadosamente los tonos de azul para su cabello, haciéndolos fluir de manera natural con reflejos púrpuras, mientras que el haori verde aportaba contraste y profundidad. Equilibrar la paleta fue fundamental para mantener la armonía de la obra.
> Al agregar las sombras, el personaje ganó dimensión y peso. Profundizando los pliegues de la ropa y acentuando el movimiento del cabello, la figura empezó a tener volumen y fuerza. Las sombras ayudaron a transmitir su presencia e intensidad.
> Luego trabajé en los brillos, que son una de mis partes favoritas. Los detalles luminosos en la espada, el cabello y las olas de agua aportaron energía y magia a la escena. Hicieron que la obra brillara como si la luz misma interactuara con el poder de Tiderion.
> Finalmente, creé el fondo con ondas de agua en espiral, complementando su papel como dragón de agua. El movimiento de las olas completó la composición, enmarcando a Tiderion en un entorno que refleja fielmente su esencia.

The tools I used for the drawing were the following:

* Capacitive pen (Stylus).
* Ibis Paint X program.
* Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
