This year’s Zingtober has been one of the most inspiring artistic journeys I’ve experienced. Hello everyone! I’m Lorentm, a digital artist deeply passionate about creating worlds filled with imagination and emotion. Today I’m thrilled to share with you my artwork for the final day of this incredible challenge, hosted by @holozing. The keyword for today is “Award,” and it marks the completion of thirty-one days of creativity, dedication, and self-discovery.
Throughout this Zingtober, I’ve explored new techniques, faced creative blocks, and learned how to transform a single word into a full visual story. Each piece became an expression of emotion and a small part of my artistic evolution. I feel truly grateful for the encouragement and community support that has accompanied me through this entire month.
This artwork is also a tribute to one of @holozing’s characters, whose essence inspired me from the beginning. Through every stroke, I felt connected not just to the character, but also to the narrative and the meaning behind the prompt “Award.” It represents recognition, effort, and the joy of creation.
Finally, I want to thank @acidyo and @holozing for their continuous support and for giving artists like me the opportunity to grow, experiment, and share our vision with a vibrant community.

> A lo largo de este Zingtober exploré nuevas técnicas, enfrenté bloqueos creativos y aprendí a transformar una sola palabra en una historia visual completa. Cada dibujo se convirtió en una expresión de emoción y en una pequeña parte de mi evolución artística. Me siento profundamente agradecida por el apoyo y la motivación que me acompañaron durante todo este mes.

In the artwork, I depicted a ceremonial scene filled with elegance and symbolism. Three pedestals stand proudly on a checkered floor, each holding a large ink pot crowned with a feather — symbols of creativity, dedication, and achievement. At the center, the first-place pedestal rises higher, representing the culmination of effort and artistic spirit.
The background features draped curtains and a banner that reads “Award,” framing the central logo of HOLOZING. This setting conveys an atmosphere of celebration and respect for artistic accomplishments. The entire piece is monochromatic, reinforcing the idea of timelessness and unity among all participants, no matter their rank.

Tres pedestales se alzan con orgullo sobre un suelo ajedrezado, cada uno sosteniendo un gran tintero coronado con una pluma, símbolos de creatividad, dedicación y logro. En el centro, el pedestal del primer lugar se eleva más alto, representando la culminación del esfuerzo y el espíritu artístico.
> El fondo muestra cortinas recogidas y un estandarte con la palabra “Award”, enmarcando el logotipo central de HOLOZING. Este entorno transmite una atmósfera de celebración y respeto hacia los logros artísticos. The journey began with the sketch. I started by outlining the general structure —the podiums, the ink pots, and the feathers— making sure each element had balance and harmony. At this stage, my main goal was to capture the essence of the word “Award” through form and composition.
Once the sketch felt solid, I moved to the line art. I carefully refined each contour to create clean and expressive outlines, emphasizing the curves of the feathers and the elegance of the vases. It was here that the drawing started to take shape and gain its own character.
The next step was coloring. Although the artwork is monochromatic, I worked with different shades of gray to build depth and variation. Each tone played a part in creating the illusion of light and form.
Then came the shading. I added shadows strategically to highlight the textures and volume, especially around the feathers and the folds of the curtains. This stage gave the artwork a more dramatic and three-dimensional look.
I later applied the highlights. Small touches of brightness brought life to the metallic and glass-like surfaces, making them feel polished and luminous. These subtle details enhanced the sense of realism in a monochrome world.
Finally, I designed the background, focusing on composition and atmosphere. The draped curtains and banner created a grand stage for the scene, wrapping the entire piece in an air of ceremony and celebration.
> El proceso comenzó con el boceto. Inicié trazando la estructura general —los podios, los tinteros y las plumas— asegurándome de que cada elemento tuviera equilibrio y armonía. En esta etapa, mi objetivo principal era capturar la esencia de la palabra “Award” a través de la forma y la composición.
> Una vez que el boceto se sintió sólido, pasé al delineado. Refiné cuidadosamente cada contorno para crear líneas limpias y expresivas, destacando las curvas de las plumas y la elegancia de los jarrones. Fue aquí donde el dibujo comenzó a cobrar vida y adquirir carácter propio.
> El siguiente paso fue el coloreado. Aunque la obra es monocromática, trabajé con diferentes tonos de gris para construir profundidad y variación. Cada matiz aportó su parte en la creación de la ilusión de luz y forma.
> Luego llegaron las sombras. Añadí sombras estratégicamente para resaltar las texturas y el volumen, especialmente en las plumas y los pliegues de las cortinas. Esta etapa dio al dibujo un aspecto más dramático y tridimensional.
> Más adelante apliqué los brillos. Pequeños toques de luz dieron vida a las superficies metálicas y de vidrio, haciéndolas sentir pulidas y luminosas. Estos detalles sutiles realzaron el sentido de realismo en un mundo monocromático.
> Finalmente, diseñé el fondo, concentrándome en la composición y la atmósfera. Las cortinas y el estandarte crearon un escenario grandioso para la escena, envolviendo toda la pieza en un aire de ceremonia y celebración.
