Mavic Air, the first version, was, in fact, the first 'professional' drone I ever bought. Although I was always passionate about drones, and I was aiming to take drone photographs as much as possible, until 2018, I never had anything "professional".
But this drone changed my way of thinking about photography and the diversity of images you can capture with a drone!
This was my baby drone. Of course, like an idiot, I sold it as I was disappointed by its range which was limited to under one mile in the distance before it completely lost telemetry.
Although now I have the DJI FPV drone, and I push it towards its limit with every flight, I do miss a classic photography drone, even an old one.
In the meantime, I want to share with you some photographs taken with my old Mavic Air 1.
Captured in October 2018, I found a lovely location about less than 50 miles from my home location in the UK. These next four photographs were captured at Bewl Water in Lamberhurst, United Kingdom. The forest was colourful and lovely seen from above, and the water was crystal clear. On that day, I remember there was a bit of fog, which made me create a small panoramic image (3rd) above the forest. Also, the pathway cutting through the forest looks amazing, in my opinion, but I never managed to find it.
This next image was taken in Rye, UK - and it is the town of Rye
The following two images are St. Leonards on Sea (1), East Sussex seen from the sea, and the Hastings Pier (2)
I really wanted to share this image with you. This is actually the water texture seen from above while I flew my drone half a mile above the sea. I started to panic a little when I lost the telemetry; however, the drone started its return to home process, and I gained control again in seconds. It is worth the scare to capture this image.
This is a storm I managed to capture not far from Hastings when me and my best friend, who've I also corrupted to buy a drone, went for a duo-flight. Guess what, we crashed into each other hehe, no big damages, though.
And this last image is on Hastings beach, where I live at the moment. The beach is not made of sand but of rocks. That day was pretty windy, but the drone remained stable, which made an amazing picture of how waves cleaned in the shore. The two "ants" are my partner and me.
I will probably invest in another photography drone, and I was thinking that DJI Mavic mini 2 will do the trick because of portability. I guess I can take some photography with my DJI FPV drone, but it's definitely not made for that, but for stunning FPV cinematics. Oh, I did take some videos with this Mavic mini drone, and I want to share two of them, which are on YouTube.
The location of this video is Botany Bay, UK.

And this video is made in Seven Sisters, UK and other locations. This video will connect with my above photographs.

p.s. - the images were edited in Lightroom, and I shared them on my Unsplash Profile for others to use them in their projects for free. p.s. 2 - Thank you @maxideea for always being with me when I was travelling like a crazy person to fly my drone hehe, although you had nearly no choice :) :) :).
