Trump welcomes Qatar's Amir

US President Donald Trump welcomes Qatar's Amir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the White House on Tuesday. He welcomed him just one year after allegation against the government about funding terrorism. News AFP   Trump said, "He is my friend and gentleman." After a White House statement said, "These two leaders discussed joint efforts to finalize new trade agreements." Under this trade agreement, employment opportunities for more than 50 thousand US citizens will be created. They also discussed Syria and the harmful effects of Iran and Russia. The statement did not elaborate on the kind of new trade agreement.   It is to be noted that one year earlier, the US position on Qatar was completely different. Trump, supporting Saudi Arabia and the UAE-UAE leadership to take tough action against Qatar, said that Qatar should sever ties with Iran and stop financing terrorism. Trump initially supported economic sanctions against Qatar. But after the US allies recalled the al-Yudid air base, outside of Doha, the trump is said to be more liberal towards Qatar. The role of the air base in the United States in the Middle East was the main role.   Meanwhile, Amir of Qatar in the White House said that the trump was strongly on our side during this ban. He thanked the American people in support of this. Trump appreciated the purchase of Qatar's military weapons, saying they purchased a lot of military equipment from us. The two leaders also discussed the main obstacle to building unity among the Gulf Cooperation Council. AFP
