Yesterday afternoon I started to organize my boxes to see what treasures I could find and what was not useful to throw away. Among so many things I found expired medicines, some note papers, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and many other things, that is to say, a deep cleaning.
Among so many beads, two handmade necklaces caught my eye. For a moment, I thought I'd lost them a long time ago, but they weren't buried among the boxes. One is made of rattan or Chinese thread, and the other is made of leather.

I wanted to give the necklaces a different style, so I looked for the following materials:

Procedure / Procedimiento
After I cut the strips, I stretched them to form an elastic thread. I took the leather necklace and cut the leather thread. Using the needle, I inserted the colored threads through a hole. For a moment, the strips wouldn't go through, even with the help of the needle, so I kept pushing until they did.

I made a small knot, wove five layers, made another knot, inserted a stone with the needle, wove again, and did the same procedure until I closed it. Every time I inserted a stone, it came out from its base. I carefully inserted it and tied it.

I wanted to make the mouse thread necklace shorter. I cut off 3 cm of the clasp, then made a cross-shaped pass with the thread, and then tied a strong knot.
>El collar de hilo de raton quise ponerlo mas corto. En la parte del broche corte 3cm de largo, luego hice un pase en forma de cruz con el hilo, de allí hice un nudo fuerte.
At the other end, I tied another knot, which I tightened tightly. I burned the ends with the lighter. Wow, for a moment I thought I was going to burn my fingers, but it was just a scare. I pulled the thread on both sides until it was closed.
>En el otro extremo hice otro nudo, el cual apreté fuerte, con el yesquero queme las puntas, guao por un momento creí que me iba a quemar los dedos, pero nada que no pasara de un susto. Hale el hilo en ambos lados hasta cerrar.
I'm so happy I modified my necklaces. When I go out for a walk, Rut and I will look so beautiful.
