Hace un montón de años, cuando estaba comenzando a leer y tenía esa obsesión por leer todos los libros que se me atravesaron por el frente, me estuve descargando unos libros de dragones. A mí la fantasía siempre me ha gustado, la fantasía es mi género favorito de lectura, y la verdad es que desde siempre, básicamente, yo comencé a leer con Harry Potter y ya lo que vino, después fueron distopías, fantasías, romance, con fantasía y pocos libros juveniles en general. Y en ese entonces yo me estuve descargando una serie de libros llamados FireLight. El primer libro se llama alma de fuego, y me gustó muchísimo. De hecho, lo estuve recordando recientemente y me di cuenta de que nunca les había hablado de él, así que decidí contarles un poco. > Many years ago, when I was just starting to read and was obsessed with reading every book I could get my hands on, I downloaded some books about dragons. I've always liked fantasy; fantasy is my favorite genre to read, and the truth is that I basically started reading with Harry Potter and then moved on to dystopias, fantasies, romance, fantasy, and a few young adult books in general. And back then, I was downloading a series of books called FireLight. The first book is called Firelight, and I really liked it. In fact, I was thinking about it recently and realized that I had never told you about it, so I decided to tell you a little bit about it.

--- --- Esta historia narra la vida de una chica llamada Jacinda, una protagonista, que es bastante joven, debe tener unos 16 años aproximadamente, y vive en una comunidad particular. Ya que ella junto con los de su especie son como humanos que pueden convertirse en dragones, cada uno de ellos tienen poderes particulares, son una especie de llamada Draki y viven aislados, en unas montañas para poder protegerse. Obviamente esta comunidad tiene reglas importantes como el no salir de día, no volar cerca de territorio humano, porque también hay cazadores que buscan robárselos para poder venderlos. Y hacienda al ser una chica muy rebelde, bastante joven que no le tiene miedo a muchas cosas, un día se escapa y se encontraba por cazadores, con su mejor amiga, ella trata de evadirlos y justamente se encuentra con un cazador que es básicamente y la perdona, como que no es capaz de él, capturarla y hace que los demás cazadores se despisten y se vayan por otro lado. Obviamente, la comunidad de Jacinda la salva, pero le van a dar un castigo que ella no está enterada. Su mamá, al saberlo, decide irse de la comunidad con Jacinda y su hermana melliza, deciden, irse precisamente a un desierto. Lo más complicado de eso, es que si se van al desierto, su dragón interior va a morir, y ella se va a convertir en humana, justo como su mamá. Lo curioso de esto es que al irse de la comunidad, y llegar a este desierto, ellas deciden fingir ser humanos, comunes y corrientes y en la preparatoria. Ella se encuentra con ese cazador que la salvó una vez, pero justamente con el cual tiene como una conexión particular, por cada vez que se miran su dragón interior se activa y se despierta. Obviamente, ella quiere mantener a su drago interior vivo, no quiere que su dragón se muera y quiere seguir siendo lo que es, obviamente tiene que mantenerse segura y mantenerse viva, además de qué debe huir de su comunidad, básicamente ya que su comunidad quiere casarla con un príncipe para poder tener como la raza viva, y esto hace que todo esto se resuelva a cada vez más complicada, ya que ella es la única Draki de fuego viva. > This story tells the life of a girl named Jacinda, a protagonist who is quite young, about 16 years old, and lives in a particular community. She tries to escape them and happens to meet a hunter who basically forgives her, as he is unable to capture her, and distracts the other hunters so they go elsewhere. Obviously, Jacinda's community saves her, but they are going to give her a punishment that she is not aware of. Her mother, upon learning this, decides to leave the community with Jacinda and her twin sister, and they decide to go to a desert. The most complicated thing about this is that if they go to the desert, her inner dragon will die, and she will become human, just like her mother. The curious thing about this is that when they leave the community and arrive in the desert, they decide to pretend to be ordinary humans in high school. She meets the hunter who saved her once, but with whom she has a special connection, because every time they look at each other, her inner dragon is activated and awakens. Obviously, she wants to keep her inner dragon alive. She doesn't want her dragon to die, and she wants to continue being who she is. Obviously, she has to stay safe and keep herself alive, in addition to fleeing her community, basically because her community wants to marry her off to a prince in order to keep their race alive. This makes everything increasingly complicated, since she is the only living fire Draki. --- --- Este es un libro muy sencillo de leer, pero que tiene una historia bastante interesante. Y cómo es un libro bastante viejo. Es del 2010, básicamente es un libro de hace 15 años, no podemos decir que se parece algo que actualmente está de moda, ya que esto fue lo que inició la moda. Por otro lado, siento que es una trilogía excelente para que los adolescentes lo lean y se enamoren del género de la fantasía, yo soy una persona que siempre me ha gustado la fantasía y que puedo leer en este momento de mi vida, cualquier historia que tenga que ver con fantasía, siento que es una lectura ligera y que no estoy segura si voy a continuar. Yo leí el primer libro hace años, los recuerdos bastante bien, y sé que vienen dos libros más, que no lo pude leer en su momento, pero que siento que en cualquier día que se me ocurra, lo pueda leer. Lo recomiendo muchísimo, si son lectores que están empezando en este mundo y quieren una historia con suficiente drama, un mundo bastante establecido y finalizado claramente. No podía dejar pasar esta recomendación de la que nunca les había hablado, nos leemos pronto! > This is a very easy book to read, but it has a pretty interesting story. And since it's quite an old book—it was published in 2010, basically 15 years ago—we can't say that it resembles anything that's currently in vogue, since this was what started the trend. On the other hand, I feel that it is an excellent trilogy for teenagers to read and fall in love with the fantasy genre. I am someone who has always liked fantasy and can read any story related to fantasy at this point in my life. I feel that it is light reading and I'm not sure if I'm going to continue. I read the first book years ago, I remember it quite well, and I know there are two more books that I couldn't read at the time, but I feel that any day I feel like it, I can read them. I highly recommend it if you are readers who are just starting out in this world and want a story with enough drama, a well-established world, and a clear ending. I couldn't pass up this recommendation that I had never told you about before. See you soon!
