Honestamente, yo había pensado que esta semana les había compartido esta reseña, pero había olvidado por completo eso. La verdad es que cuando estaba de vacaciones pude leer bastante y uno de los libros que leí fue este titulado Rose in Chains de Julie Soto. Este libro es bastante particular, ya que inicialmente hace años era un Fanfic, de la historia de Harry Potter, como un final alternativo, en donde los malos eran quienes ganaban, y básicamente el mundo mágico, era totalmente destruido y restablecido. Ese libro fue muy famoso en Estados Unidos, más que todo, y hace años, se volvió uno de los más populares, tanto como fanfic de Harry Potter, y especialmente de la pareja de dramione. Pero la autora ha sido darle un giro totalmente inesperado y adaptó esa historia, pero como un libro original, cambiando el mundo, el sistema de magia, y digamos que más que todo, si o solamente inspirándose un poco en los personajes, ya que generalmente cuando en este tipo de historias, las personalidades de los mismos cambian, es como si hubiéramos la imagen de esas personas o personajes, pero con personalidades totalmente distintas, y obviamente en historias diferentes. > Honestly, I thought I had shared this review with you this week, but I had completely forgotten about it. But the author has given it a totally unexpected twist and adapted that story into an original book, changing the world, the magic system, and, let's say, mostly just drawing a little inspiration from the characters, since generally in these types of stories, the characters' personalities change. It's as if we have the image of those people or characters, but with totally different personalities, and obviously in different stories.

--- --- Bueno, yo no me leí esa historia, yo solamente me estuve leyendo esta y yo entendí todo a la perfección, de hecho siento que no tiene nada que ver con un fan o con Harry Potter honestamente. Lo que se les puedo contar, es que esta historia tiene un mundo de imagen que la verdad me llamó mucho la atención, porque el sistema de magia no es tradicional, está como dividido en dos grupos, los magos, los magos de la mente y los magos del corazón, quienes van tomando sus poderes de forma distinta y que se van desgastando de forma distinta, además el hecho de qué los magos absorberse para tener más poder. Además, este libro nos da la historia de un reino caído, el reino de Evermore, quien cayó a manos del otro reino que estaba en guerra llamado Bomard. Justo cuando este reino cae, las mujeres, son subastadas, y nuestra protagonista, que sería la princesa heredera del reino de Evermore, Briony Rosewood. It's as if we have the image of those people or characters, but with totally different personalities, and obviously in different stories. --- --- En este libro hay algo que me gustó muchísimo, que es la proximidad forzada, una fantasía oscura, porque tomate, toca temas muy sensibles, como lo puede ser, la trata de personas, los secuestro, la falta de voluntad que tienen las personas cuando son esclavizadas. Obviamente también tiene rebeliones, guerra, conflictos políticos y mucha magia. Muchos spoilers, les he tocado temas bastante generales de esta historia. Al final es un final abierto, obviamente es necesario destacarlo porque no todo el mundo le gusta, pero es importante saber que este es el primer libro de una trilogía. Además de qué el romance es Slow Burn, por lo cual hay que leer muchísimo para que se pueda dar algo, pero la atención es demasiado fuerte, la atención entre los personajes es ideal y hace que la historia sea perfecta en ese sentido. Siento que es una historia que pueda atrapar muchísimas personas que le gustan libros como Quicksilver, como Powerless u otros. La verdad no me gustaría comprarlos con grandes libros de la fantasía, porque siento que es una historia buena, pero no me llega al nivel de un trono de cristal, o de otro tipo de libros de ese estilo, la verdad. Lo que sé que reconocer es que este Romas así es bastante bueno, lo recomiendo y espero que les haya encantado conocer mis opiniones al respecto, nos leemos pronto! > There is something in this book that I really liked, which is the forced proximity, a dark fantasy, because it touches on very sensitive issues, such as human trafficking, kidnapping, and the lack of will that people have when they are enslaved. In the end, it's an open ending, which obviously needs to be pointed out because not everyone likes it, but it's important to know that this is the first book in a trilogy. In addition, the romance is slow burn, so you have to read a lot for something to happen, but the attention is too strong, the attention between the characters is ideal, and it makes the story perfect in that sense. I feel like this is a story that could appeal to a lot of people who like books like Quicksilver, Powerless, or others. I wouldn't really want to compare it to great fantasy books, because I feel like it's a good story, but it doesn't reach the level of A Throne of Glass or other books of that style, to be honest.
