Hi everyone, I am delighted to have found this platform HIVE through Ms. Antonette socmed post. It caught my attention and, out of curiosity, I got interested. Fastforward, I am now happily guided by her. By the way, I am Lanie C Montaño, 44 years old, married and still in the process in making a child. God willing!

Allow me to share some glimpse of experiences during college years. Coming from a big family (I am 9th among 12 siblings), life is really hard back then. Praise be to GOD that I was able to pass the SASE Exam at MSU. I am proudly product of a SPES Program (Special Program Employment for Students) wherein every Summer and Christmas, instead of spending time for vacation or whatever family occasions, I spent it working under that program in order to sustain my studies. During these years, I only have a budget of 20.00 pesos which was taken from my parent's vulcanizing shop's income. Per day, I have a fix expense of 18.00 pesos for fare which was tight given that I am a college student. To overcome this, I engaged with various side hustles such as selling cornick (safari and botchoy) and stick-o in the campus. I also sometimes negotiate my way to a free ride by acting as a conductor for the jeepney driver when there are shortages. On top of that, I occassionally worked as a mini library assistant in our college department. All of these shows my resourcefulness and desire to achieve my goal. I always thank the Lord for the protection and provision. With the help of family, I was able to make it!
Our parents have a huge influence to who we are now. I am forever grateful for their prayers, undeniable love, and support. Unfortunately, I now only have my father-in-law as my biological parents and mother in law already resigned. May their eternal souls rest in peace.
