Esta vez como sabrán por el título, hablare sobre “el gato con botas: el último deseo” película que estuvo en boca de todos al momento de su salida y cuyo éxito en taquillas fue arrasador.
Good evening, afternoon or day to all of you in the Hive community, welcome back to one of my reviews! This time, as you may know from the title, I will talk about "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish", a movie that was on everyone's lips at the time of its release and whose box office success was overwhelming.

El gato con botas: el último deseo, es una secuela del spin off del amado personaje de la saga de películas de Shrek, esta película fue muy esperada ya que tiene una diferencia de 11 años con su predecesora y su tráiler rompió el internet al momento de salir, por lo que la película supo hacerse esperar. Una entrega que sin dudas nadie pidió, pero que todos agradecemos que haya salido ¿Pero por qué? Hagamos un pequeño repaso de la película y luego daré mi opinión sobre esto último.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, is a sequel to the spin off of the beloved character from the Shrek movie saga, this movie was highly anticipated as it has a difference of 11 years with its predecessor and its trailer broke the internet at the time of release, so the film knew how to wait. A delivery that no doubt nobody asked for, but we are all thankful that it has come out. Let's do a little review of the movie and then I'll give my opinion on the latter.

La historia como todos sabemos, nos habla del gato con botas, este misterioso y curioso personaje que aparece por primera en la película “Shrek 2” y con el cual todos quedamos encantados, pero ¿Cómo no hacerlo? Solo vean esa mirada.

La historia como todos sabemos, nos habla del gato con botas, este misterioso y curioso personaje que aparece por primera en la película “Shrek 2” y con el cual todos quedamos encantados, pero ¿Cómo no hacerlo? Solo vean esa mirada.
The story as we all know, tells us about the cat in boots, this mysterious and curious character that first appears in the movie "Shrek 2" and with which we all were enchanted, but how not to do it? Just look at that look.
Ah, me distraje un poco, como decía, en el spin off del 2011 que lleva el nombre de nuestro protagonista, se nos presentaba un poco del pasado de este personaje y de sus aventuras en solitario, además de presentarnos un personaje antagónico, a su rival e interés amoroso y porque su nombre era considerado una leyenda.

En esta segunda entrega la historia al comienzo gira más alrededor de lo que es “la leyenda” y como la confianza excesiva de nuestro personaje en su propia leyenda y su magnificencia lo llevaron hasta la muerte, literalmente, nuestro héroe había muerto 7 veces fuera de cámara y 1 que pudimos presenciar en la película, esto hizo que la leyenda de “aquel que se ríe en la cara de la muerte” cambiara su expresión a una de total temor al saber que está en verdad podía ser su última aventura, esto cambio tanto al gato con botas que decidió que era hora de que la leyenda muriera y el tuviera una vida más tranquila, esto hasta que se entera que la estrella de los deseos es real y decide emprender una última aventura para recuperar sus vidas y al mismo tiempo su leyenda.
In this second installment the story at the beginning revolves more around what "the legend" is and how our character's overconfidence in his own legend and magnificence led him to his death, literally, our hero had died 7 times off camera and 1 that we were able to witness in the movie, this made the legend of "he who laughs in the face of death" change his expression to one of total fear to know that this could be his last adventure, this changed so much to the cat in boots that he decided it was time for the legend to die and he had a quieter life, this until he learns that the wishing star is real and decides to undertake one last adventure to recover his life and at the same time his legend.

Perrito represents everything that is right in the world, and shows that the kinder you are to others, the more kicks you will receive from some, but life gives back to everyone what it gives, the Big Bad Wolf, although he appears little compared to other characters, has a huge presence throughout the film, after all, he is the one who coerces everything Puss in Boots does. Another character that I love and that I consider the true villain of the movie is Jack Horner, without a doubt an excellent villain that, as he says throughout the movie, he has no deep motivation to do what he does, he only does it because he wants to and he can and that is what a true villain does.
Perrito representa todo lo que está bien en el mundo, y demuestra que mientras más amable eres con los demás, más patadas recibirás por parte de algunos, pero la vida le devuelve a cada quien lo que da, el Lobo feroz, a pesar de que aparece poco en comparación con otros personajes, tiene una presencia enorme durante toda la película, después de todo, es quien coacciona todo lo que hace el Gato con botas. Otro personaje que me encanta y al que considero el verdadero villano de la película es Jack Horner, sin duda un excelente villano que, como lo dice a lo largo de la película, él no tiene una motivación profunda para hacer lo que hace, solo lo hace porque quiere y puede y eso es lo que un auténtico villano hace.
I don't love the character of Goldilocks, because he is the typical blind character who has what he wants right under his nose and doesn't realize it, the conscience cricket was a little funny but nothing more.
El personaje de Risitos de oro no me encanta, porque es el típico personaje ciego que tiene lo que quiere frente a sus narices y no se da cuenta, el grillo conciencia fue un poco gracioso pero nada más.

Luisa was the first to be affected by the failures of the miracle, since she lost her super strength, but what about those muscles? I mean, she should have lost her super human strength, but she should at least be left with the strength that those huge muscles gave her, since I think she developed them on her own, of course with the help of her gift, but if the muscles were part of the gift, she would have lost them too.
Undoubtedly a remarkable point, the animation in general is very well done but by using and mixing 2D and 3D animation much more dynamism is achieved at the time of making more moving scenes or for the fights, this is certainly something that is appreciated and that has been previously appreciated in the production of the film "Spider-man: Into to spidervese".

As I said at the beginning, this is a sequel that nobody asked for but we are all thankful that it came out, the reason lies in 2 facts, the first is that the film gives a good development to a very conceited character and that in the future will be very useful to give dramatic weight to future productions where Puss in Boots can die for good and the second is because before the release of this film a fifth installment had been announced for the Shrek saga, which had us fans unhappy because usually these sagas that are too long end up being ruined, but with the end of this film we are left to the expectations of the adventures that this particular group may have in future chapters.
In my opinion the story is very cliché, but if clichés exist it is because they work and in this particular case what made a cliché story work was the use of well constructed characters, the way of telling the story and of course, Perrito. The ending although a little predictable is very good and in my opinion the best way to solve all the problems raised, in conclusion it is an excellent choice when watching a movie with the whole family.
Como dije al inicio, esta es una secuela que nadie pidió que todos estamos agradecidos de que haya salido, él porque radica en 2 hechos, el primero es que la película le da un buen desarrollo a un personaje muy engreído y que a futuro será muy útil para darle peso dramático a futuros producciones donde el Gato con botas pueda morir de forma definitiva y el segundo es porque antes de la salida de esta película se había anunciado una quinta entrega para la saga de Shrek, lo que a los fans nos tenía descontentos debido a que por lo general estas sagas que se alargan demasiado terminan siendo arruinadas, pero con el final de esta película se nos deja a la expectativas de las aventuras que este particular grupo pueda tener en futuras entregas.
A mi parecer la historia es muy cliché, pero si los clichés existen es porque funcionan y en este caso particular lo que hizo funcionar a una historia cliché fue la utilización de personajes tan bien construidos, la forma de contar la historia y por supuesto, Perrito. El final aunque un poco predecible es muy bueno y a mi parecer la mejor forma de resolver todos los problemas planteados, en conclusión es una excelente opción a la hora de ver una película con toda la familia.
