| Meu primeiro contato com o Bitcoin foi através de um vÃdeo que, se não me engano, nem está mais no ar falando sobre a dark web e como as transações por lá eram feitas com criptomoedas. Isso despertou minha curiosidade, e fui atrás pra entender o que era e como funcionava. Foi aà que descobri o incrÃvel mundo da descentralização. | My first contact with Bitcoin was through a video that, if I’m not mistaken, is no longer online talking about the dark web and how transactions there were made with cryptocurrencies. This sparked my curiosity, and I went to understand what it was and how it worked. That’s when I discovered the incredible world of decentralization. |
| Depois, ouvi um colega do colégio — já no último ano do curso — comentando sobre blockchain, sua segurança e também sobre a tal da Web 3.0. Na época, achei tudo aquilo bem interessante e diferente, e pensei que poderia ser algo que se destacaria na nossa área, já que estávamos fazendo um curso técnico em informática. | Then, I heard a classmate — already in the last year of the course — commenting on blockchain, its security, and also about the so-called Web 3.0. At the time, I found all of that very interesting and different, and I thought it could be something that would stand out in our field, since we were taking a technical course in computer science. |
| Logo depois, comecei a estudar sobre investimentos tradicionais. Em alguns vÃdeos, os especialistas comentavam que valia a pena destinar uma parte dos aportes em criptomoedas, já que, em certos casos, elas acabavam se valorizando mais do que algumas ações. | Shortly after, I started studying traditional investments. In some videos, experts mentioned that it was worth allocating a portion of investments in cryptocurrencies, since, in certain cases, they ended up appreciating more than some stocks. |
| Mesmo tentando investir no mercado tradicional, e apesar do meu dinheiro ter se 'valorizado', eu ainda não me sentia satisfeito. Fazendo as contas, percebia que não era o tipo de valorização que eu realmente esperava. Foi então que me lembrei de um ativo que já tinha na minha carteira: o Bitcoin. | Even trying to invest in the traditional market, and despite my money having 'appreciated', I still didn’t feel satisfied. Doing the math, I realized it wasn’t the type of appreciation I really expected. That’s when I remembered an asset I already had in my portfolio: Bitcoin. |
| Foi aà que mudei minha mentalidade. Eu ouvia investidores dizendo que a gente tinha que comprar algo que 'não existia', mas que valia a pena investir, mesmo que fosse só uma parte — como se fosse uma empresa que pode dar muito lucro no futuro. Com isso, dei um ‘clique’ na minha cabeça: precisava estudar e entender de verdade o que aquilo significava. | That’s when I changed my mindset. I heard investors saying that we had to buy something that 'didn’t exist', but that it was worth investing, even if it was just a part — as if it were a company that could yield a lot of profit in the future. With that, I had an ‘aha’ moment: I needed to study and truly understand what that meant. |
