Hello dear hivers Here greeting you and wishing everyone to be healthy, I come to finish the publication about my views of the town of Regla this year.
Two celebrations that take place there annually are the festival for the Day of the Virgin of Regla, on September 7 and the departure of the Cabildo on the 9th of the same month, where believers and devotees arriving from different places in Havana and even from abroad, In addition to the inhabitants of the area, they pay tributes and show their respect in both celebrations. Besides to being a reason for young people to also be present, leaving their joy and mark.
On the Day dedicated to the Virgin, it is customary to take out the altar where she is located and, carried in the arms of strong, young men, they make a pilgrimage throughout the town, starting and ending at the church.
And as you might expect and you can see in these images that I show you, there are many who take the tour with the Virgin through the streets. Nobody wants to stop greeting her.
But before beginning the pilgrimage you can already see the signs of love and devotion for her in the greetings of the people, in the sale and purchase of candles and flowers to make offerings to her and there are those who, like this photographer, they try to immortalize those moments in images, either from the balconies or alongside those carrying the altar.
And it is a beautiful spectacle to see how many with cell phones in hand take their photos from the walls of the boardwalk and in front of the church.
And what can we tell you about the departure of the Cabildo, despite not being an event associated with the Catholic Church, it is just as crowded, where the people of Regla also have a lively and active presence, we, they also walk the streets singing and dancing to the sound of the drums, essential elements in this celebration along with the images of the different orishas that, also on altars, are carried by men and women of this town of Regla.
In this festival, the ancestors and slaves of the colonial era are remembered, as it was the day when the masters allowed them to have parties and celebrate with their religious deities.

Hola queridos hivers Aquí saludando y deseando que todos estén saludables, vengo a terminar la publicación sobre mis vistas al poblado de Regla este año.
Dos celebración que se hacen allí anualmente son la fiesta por el Día de la Virgen de Regla, el 7 de septiembre y la salida del Cabildo el día 9 del mismo mes, donde creyentes y devotos llegados de diferentes lugares de La Habana y hasta del extranjero, además de los habitantes de la zona, rinden tributos y muestran sus respeto en ambas celebraciones. Además de ser motivo para que jóvenes estén también presentes, dejando su alegría e impronta.
El Día dedicado a la Virgen, es costumbre sacar el altar donde ella se encuentra y cargada en brazos de fuertes y jóvenes hombres hacen una peregrinación por todo el poblado, empezando y terminando en la iglesia.
Y como es de suponer y pueden apreciar en estas imágenes que les muestro que son muchos los que hacen el recorrido con la Virgen por las calles. Nadie quiere dejar de saludarla.
Pero antes de comenzar la peregrinación ya se pueden ver las muestras de amor y devoción por ella en los saludos de la gente, en la venta y compra de velas y flores para hacerle ofrendas y están los que, como esta fotógrafa, tratan de inmortalizar esos momentos en imágenes, ya sea desde los balcones o junto a los que cargan el altar.
Y es bello el espectáculo de ver como muchos con celular en mano hacen sus fotos desde los muros del malecón y frente a la iglesia.
Y que decirles de la salida del Cabildo, a pesar de no ser un evento asociado a la iglesia católica, es igual de concurrido, donde también el pueblo reglano tiene una presencia viva y activa pues igualmente recorren las calles cantando y bailando al son de los tambores, elementos esencial en esta celebración junto a las imágenes de los diferentes orishas que, también en altares, son llevados por hombres y mujeres de este poblado de Regla.
En esta fiesta se rememoran a los ancestros y a esclavos de la época de la colonia, pues era el día en que los amos les permitían hacer fiestas y celebrar con sus deidades religiosas.
