Hello Hivers. My cordial greetings to you, it is a pleasure every time I come to this community, where there are so many lovers of Photography. Last September I visited several times (three to be exact), the town of Regla, located on the other side of the Bay of Havana and, as is common, I used, on all occasions, the quickest route: crossing the Bay on the well-known and popular small boat of Regla.
But to get to it I walked a little along the Havana boardwalk and Avenida del Puerto and as you might guess, during the tour I took photos of several things that caught my attention, so I also include them in this publication, since it was all part of the route I took for my visits: the children on the wall trying to fish, I didn't see that any of them managed it, a shame, but I did see how they enjoyed the experience. Men and women in their daily walk through that area, with their burdens and thoughts.
Arriving at the entrance and after disembarking, there are multiple scenes that unfold before my eyes. The first thing is the sea, Regla is a maritime town and then the fishermen, workers in the area, in short the simple and humble people there.
One of the visits coincided with an event of women with turbans, they are part of a project where they group together and have made these turbans a beautiful garment for women who lost their hair due to cancer treatments, but today they group together others who have shown solidarity with them and wear those beautiful garments as a challenge to fight and overcome. They all look beautiful.
Another visit was on the day of the departure of the Cabildo, in which, walking through the streets with the images of different divinities of the pantheon of the orishas, the local residents parade, dance and sing to the sound of the drums and in this way keep alive a tradition that came from colonial times.

As you can see, Regla is a beautiful place with beautiful people and I really love taking photos there, they always have something to show. Look at that boy observing his streets from the roof of a house.

Hola Hivers. Mis saludos cordiales para ustedes es un placer cada vez que me llego hasta esta comunidad, donde hay tantos amantes de la Fotografía.
En el pasado mes de septiembre visité en varias veces, (tres para ser exacta), el poblado de Regla, situado al otro lado de la Bahía de La Habana y como es común usé, en todas las ocasiones, la vía más rápida: cruzar la Bahía en la conocida y popular lanchita de Regla. Pero para llegar a ella caminé un poco por el malecón habanero y la Avenida del Puerto y como bien supondrán, durante el recorrido hice fotos a varias cosas que llamaron mi atención, por lo que se las incluyo también en esta publicación, pues todo fue parte del camino que hice para mis visitas: los niños en el muro tratando de pescar, no vi que ninguno lo lograrán, una pena, pero sí vi como disfrutaban la experiencia. Hombres y mujeres en su andar cotidiano por esa zona, con sus cargas y pensamientos.
Llegando al emboque y después de desembarcar, son múltiples las escenas que transcurren ante mis ojos. Lo primero es el mar, Regla es un poblado marítimo y después los pescadores, trabajadores de la zona, en fin la gente sencilla y humilde de allí.
Una de las visitas coincidió con un evento de mujeres con turbantes, forman parte de un proyecto donde ellas se agrupan y que han hecho de esos turbantes una prenda bella en las mujeres que perdieron su pelo debido a los tratamientos contra el cáncer, pero ya hoy en día agrupan a otras que se han solidarizado con ellas y llevan esas hermosas prendas como desafío de lucha y vencimiento. Todas se ven hermosas.
Otras de las visitas fue el día de la salida del Cabildo, en el cual recorriendo las calles con las imágenes de diferentes divinidades del panteón de los , orishas, los pobladores del lugar desfilan, bailan y cantan al son de los tambores y de esa forma mantienen viva una tradición que vine desde la época de la colonia.

Como pueden ver Regla es un lindo lugar y con bellas personas y realmente me encanta hacer fotos allí, siempre tienen algo que mostrar. Miren a ese muchacho observando sus calles desde el techo de una casa.
