Hi. Did you sleep well last night? One of the things that I usually anticipate a lot when I wake up is to head to a restaurant and have some food. So, today, as hungry as I was, I went to Go Fun Kee. This place serves delicious local desserts as well as herbal soup.
Tomorrow, as well as Tuesday, is a public holiday. Time to have a bit of relaxation.
Let's check out their signature dishes here. Most of them are herbal soup dishes. They usually have different meats that are boiled in an herbal soup for at least an hour to have all the essence from the soup release out. They also have the vegetarian version, where no meat is boiled. What replaces the meat is an enoki mushroom, lettuce, and many more. It tastes the same as the meat version but no animals have been harmed.
They also have a variety of beverages. For me, the best drink is definitely coffee but they don't have it on their menu so usually what I order here at this restaurant is the milk tea with grass jelly.
This is what their interior looks like. Clean and neat. They have a couple of air cons blasting cold air so it feels comfortable for all who come here to eat.

They use a metal cup. So, with that much ice in the cup, the water condenses out.
My wife ordered a cup of dessert here.
This dessert originates from Taiwan. Now in Miri. There are even some gold flakes at the top of this dish.
Claypot Soy Sauce Chicken
A bowl of herbal noodles with some meat. My wife ordered this dish. A lot of different herbs are boiled together.
This restaurant is a place that is worth to eat at. The price here for the food is on the medium range; not in the affordable range, but not too high. The best thing to have on a cold day.
