Emart has been here in Miri for at least the last two decades. The owner of this stall used to have only a small warehouse and a couple of shops. At the moment, his business has expanded to become a huge company with real estate, supermarkets, hotels, and many more.

Today, I am going to bring you to one of the Emarts here in Miri. This was the Emart that started it all.

This area I am showing you now has become a city of its own. A long time ago, this area was all grassland and nothing else but his warehouse.

Emart Miri

One of the stalls here sells freshly caught fish from the South China Sea.

Emart is a huge warehouse with a lot of stalls. There are also many fruit and vegetable stalls here. Their main business used to be Emart, the supermarket.

This warehouse is huge. It's like having a huge land that has lots of stalls. There are so many different shops here to see that you can spend a lot of time here just checking out the stuff that you are going to buy. The ceiling here is quite high. So, one of the best thing about this feature is that you feel quite relaxed as you walk around EMART.

This is their main EMART supermarket that is the main anchor store here.

My wife is enjoying her time looking at the different things here at this supermarket. They have lots of groceries.

The fruit and veggies section of Emart

Lots of local fruits. These usually come from the farms all over Sarawak.

This is a can of sweet corn. This is a huge can of sweet corn. As big as a palm. Amazing.

From my view, this is inspired by overseas grocery design. The modern LED lights.

As it is already late, some of the shops have already closed.

The local hair salon. There are lots of hair salons here. The price here is quite reasonable.
