It is a beautiful Wednesday. Today, I am going to bring you on a tour around Miri and some of the mural art here in Miri.
Miri is not a big city, but a city that is growing. It's like a living being that has been growing constantly. One of the things that I love to do is to document everything that I can about the city.
The first photo is one of the largest murals here in Sarawak.
It's international Chinese pop star Jay Zhou and his wife. This mural took a couple of months to complete. It spans almost sixteen stories high on one of the sides of the Mercure hotel here in Miri.
This artist is quite famous here in Miri by the alias " JAGUNG ART" aka corn. He has helped created a lot of the art work in Sarawak. His work is so highly sought after that he has officially moved abroad to Europe and ocassionally comes to Miri with art work.
This whole artwork looks as though it has been printed on the wall. This is one of those iconic places to visit here in Miri.
There is also a new park here that I love to go to get some exercise done. Here in Miri, there are many natural places for everyone who loves to be near nature. You can see trees all over the city. I guess this could be one of the greenest cities in the world. The local municpal here loves building parks.
There is a new park here in Miri and it is the Taman Awam park. The public park.
This park is set to complete at the end of September. One of the toughest runs out there. I usually park my car in the middle of the park and start warming up first with a slow walk to get my muscles contracting before a heavy workout. The steep incline up here is agonizing for my legs. But I train hard, and no challenge is too hard.
There are also many senior citizens walking around here. A great walk. The ultimate place to get a cardio workout for the heart. Getting exercises done at times can make the mind better at doing what it's good at in the future.
My parking - I usually park in the middle uphere in the middle section of this hill.
I have been having lots of fun driving my car. I spend lots of my time washing this car myself.
One of the best things here is this house. Right up here is this huge mansion. There are lots of mansions here in Miri, and this is one of them. I wonder who the owner is.
This house is built so high up that it is not easy to climb into the house.
There are a couple of houses here. The Beverly Hills of Miri.
A tough run indeed, running up a steep slope. After just forty minutes, I can feel my whole body drenched in sweat. I usually keep another shirt in my car for situations like this. I usually also have two trash bags that I keep at the side compartment of my seat. This is to prevent the sweat from being absorbed into the fabric of the seat.
