In the city of Miri, there are older buildings. This is one of the older surviving buildings here in Miri. It may look old, but it is currently sitting in prime real estate. This area alone is now worth a couple of million.

Wednesdays are my rest days.

Been so busy for the whole week, and now it is time to have a short brea,k especially in the middle of the week.

Malaysia is a patriotic country. We have flags all over the city all time all year.

101 Hotel

A hotel in the heart of the city.

The traditional house of Miri.

There are not many houses that are located in the heart of the city these days. Many have been redeveloped and converted into commercial buildings.

I was standing across the road and noticed this building. It looks quite unique. Something out of a movie set. The top floor looks like it is an extended section of the building that is being rented out.

After strolling around Miri City, my wife and I were getting hungry and off we went to a nearby restaurant and ate some Dim Sum. Food hunting.

SOM MAI

Minced pork meat wrapped in wanton skin. Steamed till everything becomes combined into one. This is the signature dish of every single restaurant here in Miri that serves dim sum.

PRAWN DUMPLINGS

These are also quite nice to eat. Prawn Dumplings. Prawns are removed from their exoskeleton.

The whole restaurant is full. I had to wait for some of the customers to finish their meal before being able to get a table. Is it worth it? I think so. But, the price of the dim sum here is slightly on the more expensive side.

After that, it was time to get some sightseeing before heading back home. This is one of the nicest views here in Miri.

This bridge links Miri to a forest reserve and a golf course. This is also the area where ships travel on land.

The best thing to do here is to fly my drone and also sitting here watching the golden skies as the sun sets.
