Good Morning.. I am getting some food, and then after that, I am heading to the nearest aquarium here in Miri.

Do you think eating a good breakfast makes for a great day ahead? I guess, having a nice breakfast makes the next day a day to look forward to. You head to bed to sleep and anticipate for the next day to come. Just to eat.

A cup of milk coffee. What is your morning drink to get your energy flowing? Mine is definitely a good cup of coffee.

Fried Bee Hoon

Rice Vermicelli fried with eggs and prawns. One of the best things about eating a plate of fried bee hoon is that it is not oily. Somehow, the rice vermicelli usually does not attract much oil.

This is what I ordered. A plate of Mee Jawa. This is the Indonesian way of frying noodles. It is sour and slightly sweet. This dish has a strong aroma when it is hot. There is also half slice of lime here to add some sourness to this dish.

After eating, one of my goals for the day was to go to the aquarium to check out some of the fish here.

Recently, after being super busy for the last couple of months, I have some extra time so I am checking out some fish to rear in my aquarium. For one whole decade, I have this flowerhorn that has been living in my aquarium, but suddenly, I guess due to old age, it suddenly just passed away. After that, I took some time to relax from this hobby. But, now I am back.

This is one of my favourite aquarium here in Miri as they usually have many new fishes most of the time. The aquarium here is mostly well maintained.

Do you know what this fish is called? This is one of Sarawak's most expensive restaurant delights if it is from a river. This is the Empurau fish but here it is an aquarium pet. Usually, if an Empurau is captured from the river, one plate of that particular dish is going to cost a couple of thousand.

These are definitely my favourite and these are the Arowana. One of the most sought after fishes here in Miri. Lots of people keep this as their premium pet. One of my future goals. I've been raising carnivorous fish for the last decade so this time around, I am going to raise more calm friendly fishes that can make friends in one huge aquarium.

Silver Arowana

These are the cheaper Arowana options. These have a slight red tint to their tails.

This Red Arowana cost more than a thousand ringgit Malaysia.

These Mollies are white and special looking. If they are available the next time I come here, I would definitely get some of these as pets.

Are you a fish person? I am going to update in a future post when I have my aquarium set up. This time around, I am planning to have some plants grow inside and maybe have a more maintainence free aquarium.
