De niña visité con mi mamá el Parque Nacional Henri Pittier, que abarca los estados Aragua y Carabobo en Venezuela, es muy grande. Para aquel momento consistió en un viaje de plan vacacional infantil, tengo leves recuerdos, pero se que visitamos algunos senderos boscosos. 20 años después... Regresé junto a mi esposo y fue un viaje soñado y hecho realidad.
Este parque es de los más antiguos de nuestro país, busqué y data su creación de 1937 pero no fue hasta 1953 que le dieron el nombre Henri Pittier en reconocimiento al suizo de muchas profesiones que visitaba y estudiaba este amplio territorio.
>As a child, I visited Henri Pittier National Park with my mother. It covers the states of Aragua and Carabobo in Venezuela and is very large. At the time, it was part of a children's vacation trip. I have vague memories of it, but I know we visited some forest trails. Twenty years later, I returned with my husband, and it was a dream trip come true.
This park is one of the oldest in our country. I looked it up and found that it was created in 1937, but it wasn't until 1953 that it was named Henri Pittier in recognition of the Swiss man of many professions who visited and studied this vast territory.
Este parque me parece increíble y muy diverso, porque dispone de montañas, ríos, playa, los climas son muy cambiantes, hay muchas especies de fauna y flora, es realmente único.

El día que decidimos realizar este viaje, salimos desde la ciudad de Maracay, atravesamos toda la montaña, allí nos encontramos con zonas hermosas, era un bosque verdoso, húmedo y un camino de mucha neblina, no puedo escribir en palabra todas las sensaciones y emociones que sentimos durante aquel trayecto. Anteriormente lo vimos viajando a Choroní, pero esta vez nuestra meta era llegar hasta la Bahía de Cata. Hay que mencionar que el parque incluye: Choroní, Cuyagua, Chuao, Cata, La Ciénaga , Ocumare de la Costa y Turiamo. Es espectacular, pero en esta oportunidad solo fuimos a Ocumare y nos desviamos hacia Cata.
>The day we decided to take this trip, we left from the city of Maracay and crossed the entire mountain range, where we encountered beautiful areas, including a green, humid forest and a foggy road. I cannot put into words all the sensations and emotions we felt during that journey. We had previously traveled to Choroní, but this time our goal was to reach Cata Bay. It is worth mentioning that the park includes Choroní, Cuyagua, Chuao, Cata, La Ciénaga, Ocumare de la Costa, and Turiamo. It is spectacular, but this time we only went to Ocumare and took a detour to Cata.

Conforme avanzamos observamos pueblos hermosos, prácticamente no tomé fotos porque disfruté más del paisaje, viví verdaderamente el viaje. Hicimos algunas paradas claves como este letrero colorido en Ocumare.
>As we drove along, we saw beautiful villages. I hardly took any photos because I was enjoying the scenery so much; I was truly living the trip. We made a few key stops, such as this colorful sign in Ocumare.
Este mirador es muy emocionante, da la vista más increíble a Cata, y las personas suelen tomarse muchas fotos allí. Se observa el pueblo frente a la playa y además se nota lo cambiante de la vegetación por el impacto directo del clima generado por los rayos del sol.
>This viewpoint is very exciting, offering the most incredible view of Cata, and people often take lots of photos there. You can see the town in front of the beach and also notice how the vegetation changes due to the direct impact of the climate generated by the sun's rays.
Conforme vamos avanzando visualizamos el inmenso y mar azul , es monumental y glorioso. Tenía muchas ganas de llegar, pero hay que recorrer mucho camino.

Una vez llegamos solo pude agradecer por ser testigo de tanta belleza natural, ha sido el agua más hermosa que he podido observar, al entrar podía ver mis pies bajo el agua cristalina, con un azul intenso, el agua era fría y de pronto cálida, yo no quería salirme. Era una de las pocas veces en mi vida que me gustaba tanto el mar, honestamente le tengo mucho respeto por su inmensidad.
>Once we arrived, I could only give thanks for witnessing such natural beauty. It was the most beautiful water I had ever seen. When I went in, I could see my feet under the water, which was crystal clear and an intense blue. The water was cold and then suddenly warm. I didn't want to get out. It was one of the few times in my life that I loved the sea so much. Honestly, I have a lot of respect for its immensity.
Durante aquel día había muchas personas, era una temporada alta, así que no perduramos muchas horas. Recuerdo que llevamos unas ricas hamburguesas vegetarianas y comimos con mucho gusto.
>There were many people there that day; it was peak season, so we didn't stay for long. I remember we brought some delicious vegetarian burgers and enjoyed eating them so much.
Luego al retornar de la playa, hicimos una parada en algunos de los ríos, yo sentía mucho frio porque esta zona era más boscosa y evité bañarme, solo me senté a contemplar el agua y el sonido que generaba en las rocas. Mi esposo por su parte si se bañó y disfrutó de las aguas tan frías, luego nos fuimos a casa porque eran varias horas de camino.
>Then, on the way back from the beach, we stopped at some of the rivers. I felt very cold because this area was more wooded, so I avoided swimming. I just sat and contemplated the water and the sound it made on the rocks. My husband, on the other hand, did swim and enjoyed the cold water. Then we went home because it was several hours away.
Este viaje inolvidable te hace pensar en la historia y la cultura de nuestros pueblos, especialmente en el valor de la naturaleza en venezuela, creo que jamás me cansaré de recorrerla.
