The art of "sahumar", or lighting elements of nature such as flowers, resins, woods or spices, in order to energetically cleanse spaces, is as ancient as life itself. It is a practice present in different rituals and ceremonies of various cultures around the world.
El arte de sahumar, o encender elementos de la naturaleza como flores, resinas, maderas o especias, con el fin de limpiar energéticamente los espacios, es tan ancestral como la vida misma. Es una práctica presente en distintos rituales y ceremonias de diversas culturas en todo el mundo.
It is believed that due to its aroma and composition, lighting incense brings a relaxing effect and removes bad energies from the environment. Or simply, it helps to give a more pleasant aroma to your environments.
Se cree que debido a su aroma y composición, el encender inciensos trae un efecto relajante y aleja las malas energías del entorno. O simplemente, ayuda a darle un aroma más agradable a tus ambientes.

What do we need?
To make 3 incense cones I used 5 grams of powdered cinnamon. 3 teaspoons of water.
¿Qué necesitamos?
Para elaborar 3 conos de incienso utilicé 5 gramos de canela en polvo. 3 cucharaditas de agua.

The elaboration
Place the powdered cinnamon in a container, preferably in the form of a volcano. Then add the water little by little, so as not to overdo it. The idea is to obtain a moldable paste, which allows us to make the cones easily.
La elaboración
Colocar en un recipiente la canela en polvo, preferiblemente, en forma de volcán. A continuación agregar el agua poco a poco, para no pasarnos de líquido. La idea es obtener una pasta moldeable, que nos permita elaborar los conos con facilidad.

In my case, with that amount of cinnamon I got three cones, which, once ready, are placed in the sun to dry.

Once dry, they are ready to use. They can be stored in a glass container, wrapped in soft paper. Or they can be used right away.
Una vez secos, ya están listo para usarse. Pueden guardarse en un envase de vidrio, envueltos en un papel suave. O utilizarse desde ya.
They are lit in the place of the house that we want to set the atmosphere or the incense is taken to all the corners of our home. In this way, we remove the energies of each space.
Se prenden en el lugar de la casa que queramos ambientar o se lleva el incienso por todos los rincones de nuestro hogar. De esta forma, removemos las energías de cada espacio.
