¡Hola amigos! Feliz sàbado 🥰
Hi friends! Happy Saturday...
(I've been learning the Spanish language these last 2.5 months.)
Welcome to my day 🎇

It's one of those epic fall days, autumn is at its pinnacle. There are low, intermittent dark clouds but the sun bursts through and lights up patches of colour shifting trees on the North Mountain...

I boiled my Thanksgiving turkey carcass yesterday and am now enjoying a hearty bowl of soup after getting home from my deliveries.
12 hours in my biggest pot with halved onions and garlic...
Strain the broth, pick the meat from the carcass and 30 minutes before serving add fresh carrots and green beans.

I wound up with enough broth for 5 suppers, they are in the freezer now.
My baking deliveries today consisted of whole wheat sourdough bread, glazed apple pound cakes and Nova Scotia brown bread.
The pound cakes are made with local apples as Nova Scotia is the King of apple growers in Canada.

As I mentioned in the beginning of my post, I've been teaching myself Spanish. My children are learning a bit vicariously through me too. ¡Es muy divertido! (It's really fun!)
I'm learning it because I plan on moving to South America in 5 years 😍 My boys will be Men and I will be ready to live my life for me, though I really hope they want to come along!

My resources have been Duolingo, which I practice on every morning when I first wake up (that is when my brain works the best), YouTube courses, and a dictionary. I also have a wonderful book: 501 Spanish verbs.
And speaking of books...I just cracked open a cold one! Haha! I've been wanting to read this for sooooooo long!!

Have you read any of Ayn Rand's works?
She was the main inspiration of my favourite author Terry Goodkind.
I'm so stoked to dig in today 😄
I hope you have a very beautiful day too!
