Have you encountered anyone who uses his or her mobile phone or gadget on speakerphone while in public places or transportation? Whether you are watching your favorite Korea-novela, having nostalgia with your favorite music or just having a conversation, being on speakerphone while in public places is inconsiderate and inappropriate. Here are the reasons why.
-
Public place as it is, it is not your own domain but shared. Your loud phone can disturb others who may be relaxing, enjoying music or video on their own or having a different conversation. Please, be reminded of respect for others.
-
Strangers may be forced to listen to something they do not want. We are not interested about your fight with your wife, or your rant to an online seller who conned you. Please spare us from your negativities. And no matter how big or grand your project deal is, we also don't need to hear that.
-
You may be unintentionally sharing sensitive information to strangers like address, phone number and the likes. You would not want to invite thieves to your house or scammers to keep calling you.
-
Talking on speakerphone with someone else exposes the other party without their consent. That is rude so don't be.
-
