📽 Mrs Harris goes to París : 'Nunca es tarde para soñar'
Hola! Esta es mi primera presentación en esta bonita Comunidad y estoy feliz de estar aquí! 🙂
Mi nombre es Made, soy Ingeniera Textil y Confecciones. Nací en Lima, Perú. Me considero una persona multipasional y disfruto de actividades que llenan mi alma de felicidad.
🍂 Londres en los años 50's :
“La Sra. Harris va a París” es una de las películas más feeling que he visto hasta ahora. Esta película nos deleita en hacernos sentir en cada momento como si estuviéramos ahí con ellos. Todo esta bien estructurado, desde el vestuario, la Producción , actores que sensibilizan el desarrollo de la película.
Ada Harris, es una señora de limpieza que se enamora de un vestido de alta costura de Christian Dior. Cuando digo que se enamora me refiero a un amor a primera vista. De esos que nos deja con una sensación de tenerlo y volver a verlo.
No les pasa que cuando van de shopping y ven una prenda que les gusta, se los compran de inmediato. Para Ada Harris fue así! pero había un pequeño detalle... El vestido por ser de alta costura solo podía encontrarlo en París y el precio estaba por encima de lo que ganaba.
Pero ella, una viuda que hacia feliz sus actividades 'limpiar casas'. Sentía un vacío, de no poder disfrutar a su edad : comprarse un vestido. 😔
Algunos lo llamarían 'vanidad', otros 'ya no estas para esos vestidos', otros 'no gastes tu dinero'. Pero para Ada lo era TODO! (Así lo senti).
Ya había perdido a su esposo, no tenia hijos. No había otra cosa que la hacia feliz, en ir a París en busca del vestido soñado.
Y sin pensarlo mucho comenzó la travesía de ir por sus sueños.🦋 La película está en Netflix y vale la pena verlo ! <3

Podemos decir que el fin NO es el vestido.👗 Porque puedes tener la prenda más costosa del mundo pero sin la actitud y agradecimiento de valorar lo que tienes hoy, todo se desvanece con el tiempo.

El vestido y el viaje es la excusa perfecta para esforzarse por hacer realidad su sueño.

No importa el país, puede ser París u otro, ó sino logra conseguir el vestido DIOR, sino... la determinación, la ilusión, los desafíos, los sacrificios pero sobretodo las personas que se encuentran en el camino que se convirtieron en luz en su vida.

Que si no estamos en el lugar que queremos estar, esto no define quiénes somos y lo que aspiramos.

Quiero pensar que las escenas de bondad que se reflejan en esta película podemos replicarlo en la vida REAL. Me voy con una sonrisa :)

“Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris” is one of the most heartwarming films I’ve seen so far. It captivates us by making us feel, moment after moment, as if we were right there with the characters. Everything is beautifully crafted: the costumes, the production, and the actors who bring such sensitivity to the story.
Ada Harris is a cleaning lady who falls in love with a haute couture dress by Christian Dior. When I say “falls in love,” I mean love at first sight—the kind that leaves you with that undeniable urge to have it, to see it again, to hold onto the feeling.
Haven’t you ever gone shopping, spotted a piece of clothing you adored, and bought it right away? For Ada Harris, it was exactly that! But there was just one small detail… The dress, being haute couture, could only be found in Paris, and its price was far beyond what she earned.
Ada, a widow who found comfort in her simple daily work — cleaning houses — carried a quiet emptiness: the longing to enjoy something for herself at her age, something as simple yet profound as buying a dress. 😔
Some would call it “vanity”. Others might say “you’re too old for that”, or “don’t waste your money”. But for Ada, it meant EVERYTHING. (That’s exactly how it felt to me).
She had already lost her husband. She had no children. There was nothing else that truly sparked joy in her life — except the dream of going to Paris for that dress.
And without overthinking it, she set off on the journey to chase her dreams. 🦋 The movie is on Netflix, and it’s absolutely worth watching! <3

The true goal is NOT the dress. 👗 Because you could own the most expensive garment in the world, but without gratitude and the right mindset, it all fades with time.

The dress and the journey became the perfect excuse to push herself to make her dream come true.

It doesn’t matter if it’s Paris or anywhere else, or even if she never got the Dior dress. What matters is the determination, the hope, the challenges, the sacrifices — and above all, the people she met along the way who became a light in her life.

If we are not yet in the place we want to be, that does not define who we are or what we aspire to.

I’d like to believe that the kindness shown in this film is something we can carry into REAL life. I finished it with a smile :)
